No, did not touch it. The lip comes back to almost touch it, but it is still there and I am glad because that gives me about a quarter inch of rubber air dam to warn or remind me, if you will, how close I am to the ground.
That reminder will be particularly important if I get around to lowering the ride.

No problem at all. And this is its second Michigan winter. Well, its first was only half a winter but you get my drift.

Decided Pedders lowering coils will not be made in the near future, contacted ZZP Monday and Wednesday got Eibach drop springs installed. I would not want to go lower in the front even on coilovers and I am thinking the rear is also as low as I would want. Somewhat firmer ride but not harsh.
ZZP also adjusted the exhaust tip: much improved the appearance:
So now, with the Wavetrac LSD, the intake and exhaust, the front lip and the drop coils, I think all I have left to do is the '67 Crossed Flag fender emblems and the Shark antenna then I will have turned the Sonic RS into my version of a sports car!

Looks great! but IMHO with a cutout like the RS has on the bumper it needs an oval or trapezoidal exhaust tip, have you thought about sticking the RS tip on the ZZP exhaust?

The RS tip should not be used under any circumstance. It makes two 90* turns in about two inches. I am thinking Chevy designed it that way to make sure the RS would not accelerate as quickly as it could.
To explain myself: the passage from the muffler to the tip has to be the single dumbest thing I have seen on any car I have ever owned. No question! Hands down dumbest.
Maybe there is a reason but not one I can think of.

couldn't you just cutoff the extra bends and mate it up with the newly centered ZZP system?

The DDM exhaust. Interestingly, while my Sonic was on the test drive another brand new RS arrived on a flat bed; the nearby Chevy dealer had installed the lowering coils but needed help to make the ZZP exhaust fit.
Now that the exhaust pipe has been moved an inch or so toward the driver side, I think I'll try Tmo's suggestion. It just might work.
But that will have to wait as I am New Orleans bound next week.

Looks good with the drop! I have RS dampers and Eibach springs waiting to be assembled in my garage, did you keep the stock RS bumpstops? Or switch to the Eibach ones?
I'm very tempted to order that hood knowing it takes snow well.
Clean looking ride though, very similar to what I'm working towards.

Used the Eibach bumpers for the rear.
I am happy with the hood. If you do get it, be sure to apply about three coats of Turtle Ice paste, removing each application using Turtle Ice spray detailer to help protect the hood from the sun. I park the Sonic outside (the Corvair is a garage queen) and the hood has held up well despite that. It is a known fact that even clear coated carbon fiber does not like the rays from the sun.

Thanks for bumper info, I have a set of rs bumpers just in case the eibachs were too short.
