ok so i went out and measured the rear again this morning and i want to apologize. i went to measure it and i did notice that when i when to take the pic the tape had moved 6 1/2 is wrong. it is 7 1/2 inch.

So now I predict that your rear fender TDC is about 22.25". My goal is to get mine to 23.25" with either custom order coils or just some cut aftermarket lowering coils...... Option 2 ought to get my rear spring rate up to my desired stiffness for hole shot launching and for balanced steering.

Air bags, don't mess with the other stuff. That way you can do track and cruise without work or additional weight.

how much did you take off?

About a quarter inch. It helped a lot. But I still get an occasional scrape.

Basically if I grind more, I'll grind away the spot welds, and would have to weld it back together up higher. I have a MIG, I'm just being lazy. The hack grind job I did took about 30 min. The full fix and weld would take hours, not to mention some painting afterwards.

At some point I plan to do it right.

Is that seam to ridged to fold? Or is there no where to fold it? I would think a block of wood and a 5 pounder would lay it over with out grinding, cutting, welding and repainting.

Good call! Never thought of that. It would need a couple slices maybe 6-8" apart and then could likely be folded in sections.

so i ended up not being able to find my grinder so i used a pair of vice grips and folded it over and then used a hammer and tapped it up a bit more got about 3/8 more clearance and then just put some paint on it.

also as i was under there i seen this.

im taking this as my sign im low enough and i need a skid plate.

Lol. The flex on my stock mid pipe is also toast. My subframe has had a few encounters with some asphalt as well.
