Went to the dealership earlier to finish up some paperwork, and when I checked my GMConnects status after I got home it shows that it was delivered an hour before I even went over there. They're putting on the Du Pont coating tomorrow and I'll have everything finalized and ready to pick up on Thursday. I have classes all day tomorrow anyways, so it's looking like I'll have my car early Thursday morning.

I'm guessing it was shipped to the "interim point of delivery" because it's not at the dealership. Slightly stressed. I finished up the loan paperwork today and have everything ready to hand over, just waiting on the car now. I even opted for the DuPont clear coating.

Shapoopy, you could try GMConnects.com, once registered just enter the six character (usually 5 letters and 1 number sometimes six letters) order number your dealer gives you once the order is entered and you should get a status report unless your dealer is Canadian.

I'm at 4B00, and have the VIN and Cassens Transport info(see below) : Does the Cassens info mean it's been shipped to staging in OH, and is currently staged in OH? If so, do you think it'll be shipped to my dealer (about 2,000mi from Orion) by truck or rail? Either way, once it leaves staging, how specifically can you track location during transport?

In the case of the Sonic, yes, the turbos take longer, especially the LTZ turbos.

I have yet to discover a reason.

Currently, the LTZ turbo is on partial constraint. That means fewer will be built each week than ordered.

Yep, that's it.

But imagine the wait the people who pre-ordered turbo LTZ Sonics back in July. Those orders did not even go into general production until sometime in November! That is what I would call a wait!

@Shapoopy - we both ordered at the same time, I have had the same wait. It was also extended cause of winter break shutdown of the plant.

Here is my order history, my production week is next week:

I ordered mine on the 6th of February. Why does it say January?
Any guesses how long it will take? It's a 1.4 LTZ

No conclusive answer on why it says January. An answer could be your order substituted a stock order, but that is speculation.

If progress goes like it SHOULD, you should go to 3100 this week, watch for GMConnects tomorrow morning. 3300 then 3400 sometime next week, and this is a pure guess, but assembly the first week of March 5.

Orders often but not always progress in a standard way. So far turbo LTZ orders have rarely progressed in that way, but if yours does progress well, my guess is as good as any. Ordering and waiting is a true roller coaster ride, so lay back, hang on, and enjoy the ride. From my point of view it is worth all the anxiety that comes with it.
