Never neutral drop an auto. I just floor it from a stop and it will smoke the tires. If I want to really roast them I'll brake-stand. I turn TC off and it will let loose fairly easy with the stock tires. I've only done this at the track, mind you, and the surface was quite sticky.

How can you brake-stand a FWD car?
Unless you're talking about holding the e-brake to do it?

its clunking... it might be all the mud on it... its driving okay though and there isn't a hole in my case yet so I think its just the mud on my axles.

i also realized top speed in the car can be achieved in 4th.

Been done it. I miss the stock MZ4 though. I will eventually swap the 5th and 6th gear from the MZ4 to the MZ0.

My mpg went from 30-ish to 21-ish. E85 mind you.

does it bolt up? does it use the same clutch?

Yes. The m32 has 2 bolt patterns on its housing. It will bolt up to the 1.8 or the 1.4.

As far as the clutch, I assume its the same, but a p/n reference of the flywheel of both motors should verify.

It's the 6 speed manual trans

Yep, M32 is the family of 6-speed manuals used in the Sonic and Cruze.

MZ4, MZ0, MR5, etc. are the RPO codes for various flavors of M32.

Why the Drive Shaft Shop axles? Based on what has happened with other platforms I have been around, stock axles seem to shatter less frequently. I would also prefer to have my axle be the "weak link" and not the transmission.

When said shaft breaks what happens to the wheel? Does it leave the car in a hurry or hang around?
