Thank you for the link. Yes I am on the 30 day trial. I love this app! I have been using Garmin's for 15 years and this is a great option.
Only wish that two apps could run at the same time as connected.
I run Bringo connected and Pandora or whatever via Bluetooth.

chevy reminds me a lot like microsoft. they generally have a lot of issues with new stuff but everything works out beautifully in the end. look at the chevy 350, most well known engine in the world. it had its fare share of issues way back in the day. look at microsofts windows XP...so old yet so wonderful for reliability now.

Drawing similarities between Microsoft and Chevy is a pretty big insult to Chevy.

Microsoft continues to lose market share by alienating their customer base.

Removing their start button is like if Chevy were to remove the steering wheel.

I can't think of an auto company that can compete I'm the "out of touch" realm as well as Microsoft.

BringoGo doesn't care to address the problem, gets $60 a pop for their software and you're on your own pretty much support wise.

Oh no! Well I will certainly address as much as I can. So at this time BringGo has informed you that your mobile device is no longer compatible. I know we have concerns with Apple during updates. Terrible Audio in Bringo

Is it me or would it be great if you would fix the way the Audio lowers when voice nav is talking (aka like Waze) all you need to do is gently lower the volume and let your nav speak then bring the music up. Yours cuts it with skips and pops and brings it back the same way. Its very jarring when driving fix that and you will have a halfway decent product, include realtime traffic, not traffic that has to be set to update in time intervals but auto would be great also. Im sure im just reaching but for $50 dollars your is not standing up to other options that are either free or 99cents - 5.00 for the same type of nav. I hope at leas the volume can be addressed soon.:sadbanana:

Mine works the way you state you would like yours to work, no skips or pops, except for the fading and why that would that would be required. The audio stops, the nav voice speaks, then the audio starts.

Try waze, or about any other nav app and you will see what i mean, its much nicer to have the music dip to a low volume while the nav speaks and then come back up to a normal level. When you drive through a multi exchange like we have here all over ca and the voice is giveing directions about 12 times in 2 miles it gets old really fast to have the music start and stop 12 times.

I have ditched BringGo, as they don't support my Samsung 4 (plus the problems with my Samsung 2, and a friend's Samsung 3 were never addressed-- problem kept happening, randomly). I use Google Maps, with Pandora playing via bluetooth... works great, lower the music volume-- Google Maps gives it's prompt, then the music volume returns to normal-- never skips a beat. :banana:

No, I use bluetooth connection to Pandora, minimize Pandora on my Galaxy 4, fire off Google Maps navigation, and from there any voice notices will lower the Pandora music level-- then return the Pandora music level back to normal. Works quite well.

I'm doubting this. They haven't added ANY new devices since they pretty much introduced the app. At this point I think the application and development of it is dead. Chevy has since slightly opened up development of MyLink to 3rd party developers. We'll probably have a better chance of another NAV app becoming available before Bringgo ever releases this to any more Android devices.

Thanks. That certainly seems to be the most likely scenario. Why improve the current app when you can go with a different one?

I downloaded the BringGo demo to my Nexus 4 and while it worked fine the first time, the problem is that there's an alert box that pops up and holds me hostage to downloading the map. Even after I've downloaded every map available, I still get that alert and back or close just disconnects the application. According to Google Play Store, the app was updated yesterday. Only Engis/BringGo could update an app to make it worse than the old one.

I emailed the company saying this:

Hello,

I purchased the BringGo demo for USA/Canada, and all the app does is hang at Alert "New map data is available to download" and the "back" and "close" buttons exit the application. All of the maps in the area have been downloaded and it will not sync with the MyLink on my car.


I have a Nexus 4 and the application worked fine until I had to reinstall it. I sincerely think the problem is that your alert dialog box or the map manager has too much control over the application - if there was a way to dismiss the alert and boot to the application directly, this might have been averted.



I am considering the full purchase of this application and the response I get will determine whether or not I spend $59.99 on your product or using it to purchase an aftermarket unit for my Chevrolet Sonic.
