Just to let everyone know, I received some already broken in mounts and installed them and the vibrations were no joke, absolutely terrible.
I just took the engine mount off and I put 3 very thin rubber washers under the mount(one for each bolt to the frame) then I added 2 nylon washers on the top of the mount on the 2 bolts in line with each other and torqued them down.
WOW! the change in vibration was insane. I now have near stock feel on the highway and a short slight vibration right when I take off at low rpm's.
Great products TTR!
Have the bolts backed out or loosened since you've added the washers?
On a scale of 1 [stock] and 10 [no washers] how would you rate the vibrations you are experiencing now?
I'm not too concerned, I mean, if it stayed like it was for the first mile, I'd be taking the things back off and selling them on the black market... but the initial break in happened very fast and now it's just intense during cold start, and very present the rest of the time. I'm guessing with upper only that it was like cold start rough all the time?
Did anyone look up the official tightness specs in the Sonic Manual? I have a torque wrench but no target number to shoot for. Pretty sure I overdid it a little, didn't want the engine to leap thru the hood.
wish I would've seen this before you went through all data, I use it for free at work. Its 39 ft lbs
