The bigger motive for shelling out the dough for the dog-style geared M32 would be to allow for shifting at higher RPM.
I believe my current plan of upgraded shaft bearings and revised fork tips will make the M32 less vulnerable to extreme power. But the sad fact is these things won't let you shift above 6k.
I wouldn't be opposed to swapping in a $5,000 transmission. But I first want to complete my journey with what can be done feasibly to a stock one by an average mechanic such as myself.
Did you see that $5k gearset still used stock plastic tipped shift forks? :blankface:
