Radio Malfunctioning after ipod freeze

So my ipod froze when going to select a song via the mylink and now everytime you try to select like artists, playlist, songs, etc via an ipod (i tried 3 different ones) it just brings up a screen with the back arrow and whatever selection you're on and then freezes.

This all just started happening 10 minutes ago and i really pissing me off because I didn't spend $18K on a car to have it be serviced 2 weeks later


Anyone know what I can do to fix this?


Edit: The ipod wont even become unfrozen....

Have you tried resetting the iPod?

As far as the car, maybe pulling the radio fuse for a minute or two might help?

Also, have you tried a different iPod cable?

Press your home button twice quickly (when the phone is unlocked)

It should zoom out of the default page, and you'll get a string of window's like you've just pressed Alt+Tab on your windows machine.

Close everything. finger on the app, swipe upward. This will close the application. If you do not do this - applications stay running in the background. Just like a computer - the longer they are left open - the more problems you are going to have.

I had this happen - it froze up on a song - i had to close the music player on my iphone, and then manually select another song from the playlist before MYyink was like "oh right... you're doing stuff! let's play that music then!"

I would do that except its a iPod Classic from 2008 lol

That should make it easier. Grab a phillips head screwdriver, take out the 2 screw's down the bottom near the plug. slide the case upwards. remove the screw holding in the battery connection. gently lift up untill disconnected.

hold the power button / home button on ipod for 10-15sec.

reconnect battery, close case.



You should not need the apple branded screwdriver for that one Nothing like a good off and on again!!

Works fine now but every once in A while more often than not when using my iPod and going to select artist or song, it brings up a message saying "list failed to load. Please try again."

Is this on the mylink end or the iPod end?
