My school has an efi live class and a dyno if u lived close to Lima Ohio you could ask to use it I think they charge like 100$ a day or so don't quote me on that lol

So I may do that or just do it like you and go threw hp tunners


Are you going to change the stock internals or at least heads to to make them forged eventuly?

Does anyone know what is the biggest intercooler size will fit on the sonic?? Im focusing on the piping now. Any help i would appreciate it

Ok guys need some help again... I need help with the oil return and feed lines. Also i believe from the diagrams i have found, the oil filter housing off the vxr has banjo lines attachments to it....i Have located the part numbers for the OEM oil return and feeds but i cant locate to purchase...so what to do.what to do...should I go with OEM or should i make a custom lines ..

The oil feed line seems to have the same fittings on either end as the 1.4 oil feed line. You may be able to have a 1.4T line bent to fit.

Thanks Pre. I will look that option up as well. Do u think i will need the coolant lines as well from the 1.4?? If that will bolt up...this is the only snag i have now lol

I dug around a bunch and couldn't find the coolant hoses for sale for the 1.6T. I'll try to look into whether the 1.4 ones can work. Honestly making the coolant connections work shouldn't be too difficult. The oil feed line is the more critical.

I'll keep digging around, and I'll take a look at the extra 1.4 oil feed line I have and see if it looks like the bends can be adjusted to connect the locations on the 1.8T set-up.

Personally I would run custom feed/ return lines with braided lines. I would think if the factory lines are hard lines u may encounter headaches. To each his own, where do u plan on tapping your oil feed from???

The oil filter housing he got from the 1.6 has an oil feed port built into it.

So I looked at my 1.4 oil feed line, and it is much shorter than the one for the 1.6 and likely won't be an option.

You may be looking into custom oil lines if you can't score one from a 1.6.
