Sorry to chime in so late to this discussion. I was one of the first testers, and after having them on my car for a month the hot side charge pipe kept blowing off the intercooler. With out a beveled intercooler I suspect the issue would not subside. Finally the only remedy I could muster is to remove that section of piping to be replaced back to stock. The cool side charge tubing seemed fine to stay on, because it's not taking the blunt pressure at 25psi. With blow by on our engines this coupler connecting would just get worse over time, because oil lubricates. I was also a welder for two years, and I know welding aluminum is much harder to do. That being said they could use some practice with their beads on these pipes, but I believe one day rebel auto worx will fine ture there crafting skills to deliver an outstanding product.

I did make a comment on the tubes popping off the end tanks on the intercooler in a pm... pretty sure they disregarded that. As to the fix for the problem. Just get a slightly larger coupler for that side and put it over the original clamping spot from the stock tubes and the issue is resolved. I will be getting the MPfab kit after this though since I like how his includes a spot for a BOV.

Reviewing the product, we still do not feel this is a kit that is terribly lacking in quality. We understand that the welds are not perfect, but they are absolutely functional, structurally sound and leak proof. They look fairly good from the outside and the inside weld's penetration in no way affects performance.

Even though we didn't see anything major wrong with the kit, we offered Richard a complete refund. However he returned the product with damage to the powder coat. We are dealing with this through paypal and will only deduct what it will cost to repair the powder coat.

We strive to offer products with big performance at an affordable price. We understand that some vendors offer very beautiful products but it does come at a cost.

As for the coupler blowing off the stock intercooler, we conducted testing on this and never had ours blow off once the brackets were implemented. We will further investigate this. The main reason for this as mention is due to the stock inlet and outlet not having rolled edges. One tip that we have seen online is to apply hairspray to the inside of the coupler. But again we will conduct a full test on this issue and post all the details and results.

Now regarding our history with the cobalts, at the time it was run a lot different than now. Then, many big products were developed without enough testing. Now we have developed one product and already conducted a lot of testing and will further continue until everything is ironed out.

With time our customers will see we are here to develop products that are fully tested, built to last and deliver maximum performance.

Damaged the powdercoat? That's b.s. lol the powder coat on mine was scratched in multiple places when I first took it out of the dog biscuit box it was shipped in, I just wasn't bothered by it because it was in a spot that wouldn't show once installed.

Idk how they do things up north, nor do I care at this point how you feel about it, but the customer is always, ALWAYS right. Your customer was obviously NOT satisfied with the product you gave him and wanted a refund, what's so hard about that? Seriously complaining and a tiny little scratch in the paint?

Come on now, I buy and sell things on the side for extra play money, by no means do I have a business card or a vendors slot on the forum, just a random guy. I've sold things of much higher value than these charge pipes that were likely pieced together with online ordered mandrel bends, and I've had buyers who weren't happy with the product. REGARDLESS the reason, I refund their money, inspect the item, and if it's fine or has an insignificant scratch, I just resell it. Never do I even make them pay shipping back, never do I dispute a customers claim, a unhappy customer is an unhappy customer, and you're job as the point of contac/ salesman is to make them a HAPPY customer.

You conduct business like child with a grudge. Horrible.

One question how can a non smooth pipe deliver maximum performance? I just find your entire response hypocritical.

And again your blaming the customer. How do you know the pipes were not that way from the get go or damaged in shipping. The shipping was insured so it should be handled through that insurance not the consumer.

I feel like your a bit pissed he is requesting 70$ worth of shipping that PayPal is pushing you to repay with his refund. So your trying to absorb some of that cost back.

When you ship your pipes in inadequate packaging, you are bound to get small imperfections in the finish. This is a joke guys. I'm not going to purchase parts from a company that recommends hairspray on couplers. How about providing the correct couplers from the start.

What were the pipes wrapped in.... If it was anything other than foam, you will have shipping imperfections.

Go to make a nice big fat pull last night. 19lbs of pressure not even fully on it and right as i was going to go WoT, a nice big pop happens and next thing you hear is a gurgling induction noise. Pull over onto the side of the road and the tube that connects to the throttle body pops off. Looks like I forgot a nut somewhere during installation.

you should file a claim with the postal service as the shipment was insured and i was not responsible for damages in shipping once it left my hands they are the one you should seeking reimbursement from honestly i have picture of the charge pipes / boots / and clamps before left my house all in perfect condition so if you feel the need to make the whole paypal claim be held up over some 25$ powder coating is kind of sad as i will be responding with you covering the 72$ it cost me to return the lacking in quality part i thinks it funny you choose a very obscure angle when picturing the sensor port so you cannot really see the "quality" work im done play games just return my money and postage and end this sale. you might want to start seeking your payment from the insured shipment via USPS

Sold them for $100 even already haha literally had them sold 10 minutes after I made that comment, guy that bought them says he won't tell anyone they're RAW pipes, just some ****ty custom ones.

And lastly, I can't believe mine were such good quality as far as no interior weld bleed through, and Richards were so crappy, especially since I got mine as a test fitter when they were first released. You'd think the welds would get better over time, not worse

We cannot file a claim as the box was not damaged at all, the reason for the damage was due to the pipes not being repacked in their bubble wrap sleeves and brackets wrapped in the foam protection. Not sure why you spent $72US on shipping them back when we only spent $25 US shipping them to you.
