Looks like I will be following suit on this as well.

This winter has taken a toll on my front bumper and most of the plastics underneath are broken

Okay, I did the lip today. MpFab, did you have ends on yours which had to be trimmed off? Mine came with 90° bends which I dremelled off... so the edges don't QUITE reach the wheel well, but it's symmetric... I did have to drill a couple of centering holes as the part isn't quite even where I thought it was... I'm going to drill some holes on the opposite side to balance it out. Also I used torx plastic "rivets".. I like the industrial look of it

Put some double sided tape too.. (sand the inner lip where the tape goes to give it some purchase)

there's a couple of open holes as I'll need 2 more ... I may just leave them as they are on both sides...balance

Looks damn good man! Still waiting for a dry, warm weekend here to do mine. Should be coming soon though.
How difficult was the heat gun part?

Not bad, those guns get hot!!!
You need to work the sharpest "corners" on the part with the gun to take out the squareness of it, I also had to work the part by the wheelwell to flush it some.

Tip. Bend it flatter than your car first, so that you can bend it TO the car, and you don't have to try and bend it both to and away from the car at the same time.

Also, 3M tape is serious about its minimum temperature. I attached mine and both edges came up... Exactly where I was sticking them as the temp dropped below minimum.

Once the tape sets though...it's on there for a good long time!

Everyone guess who broke his lip on the first try! Me!!! The one I bought came with pre cut bend point for the hondas and as i started shaping... SNAP. Time to buy a new one and try again.

Why? How bad is the snap?

Mine had 90 degree flaps on the ends as well, I dremelled them off... Doing that, they end a little less than half an inch from the fender on both sides. I then just filled that little gap between the fender and the end of the part with black plastidip.

unless you're on your belly looking RIGHT at the edge you'd never notice.

I think that using a heat gun to bend that end flap would make a warped look and ruin the fake carbon fiber effect...IMO
