Got underlighting!

I got these off a cobalt that got sold through the dealership, 200$ set for free. so why not put them on i had to order a new remote and will have to order a front set of lights but thats it, i love them already. They are OPTX 100mc streetglow LED's, 7 different colors that can go with my music too. it was raining so had to take pics inside my porch

What did you use to black out the chrome trim under the windows?

I was thinking of using plastidip or try and vinyl wrap them but I want the flag look of the rest of the molding

You should have used plastidip. Basically, its like a rubberized paint that if you don't like it, just peel it off. There are different kind of colours and its all flat paint but you can add a gloss to them to get that finish you would want.

i just painted them with my wheel paint, but i will have to do it again because i didn't sand them down because i wanted to see how they looked and i could still revert it back to normal using paint thinner.

In other news i am looking into building a custom header, exhaust and buying an injen intake, then getting a dyno tune from a family friend

Im loving your build, i'm about to smoke my tail lights and all the crome as well. I will be getting a custom exhaust done by a guy thats local on here and has done all the exhaust work on my previous cars, Weir-tech.com. I might go through a couple of exhaust because i always want my cars to sound quiet. What exhaust are you going to use?

im not quite sure yet, im going to go custom with a guy like yourself, go 2.5 in piping and see how it turns out and see what he recommends, i want some sound to mine though, but that depends on how the intake sounds, i might want to hear that over the exhaust xD

Same gloss as your tailights or what?
Definetly looking to go this route with my black sedan. except i would probably plastidip the rims instead of f$%^&g around with paint and idk if you can gloss that

have you thought about getting rid of the chrome around the headlights and fogs? I'm thinking about doing mine blue, make it pop a bit more. at the same time I would also be getting the foglight trim painted body color so it actually looks good.

quick question, might be a little outdated though. That stuff you cut to cover the chevy emblem, does that just stick right on? How easily does it come off? Would there be any reprocussion once it's taken off? I saw your review of the product on amazon, looking into doing it and leaving the silver trim as you did. Thanks in advance

The vinyl is self adhesive, and it comes right off without leaving any residue if you don't like it.
It took me a couple tries to get mine just right.
