I love my sonic as he sits now. The reason why I have not been modding like crazy anymore. There are two last mods from my original wish list I have not completed. A red BBK and the seibon front splitter.

I am using the rest of this year to fully enjoy my sonic. I have been taking him to local car meets and I might take him to the gm Carlisle show in June. Who knows this may be the last year my sonic and I have together

Nothing is set in stone. Who knows I may keep the sonic for another five years. If I keep him long term I plan to finish my original wish list and more! If I ever stumble into big money I would love to go bigger turbo from bnr and switch him to flexfuel so I can experiment with e85.

I would probably ditch the sonic, unless I had the extra $$ in which case I would definitely keep the Sonic. I still have my last 2 cars and motorcycles... I get attached hahaha

It is more than ditching the sonic for me. It would be ditching the lifestyle. Without the sonic I will be just a boring girl with a slightly boring vechicle. Could I still read car forums and go to car shows? Sure but I know it will be different when I don't have a tuner car in my garage. sonix13 hood is all yours haha

Yeah I'm with Brett on this one, don't give it up. If anything get your dream car and get some cheap pos to work on. I don't think I could give it up, even if i end up with a mini van I'm baggin it.

My next vehicle I want is an Audi, q5.

I have my sights set on a q5. Don't ask why I just like them lol. It's probably because I'm so short so I like the illusion I'm tall in a big suv

Next dream vechicle is a Q5 if you haven't guessed. I know they are stupid but I've always wanted one. I am considering the QS5 or the RSQ5. Last year Audi redid all the Q7's, this year all the Q5's are being redesigned. Audi is supposed to introduce a new RSQ5 with 400hp. Maybe choose a cool colored leather or interior.

I know our developer at work has a Q3 ? ...its a turbo V6.. instantaneous acceleration.. but I would not want to put gas in it or pay for repairs.. Audi repairs after 50K can get
ridiculous. There is even the pic on the net with where the entire front of the car with the V6 needs to be taken off to get to the $15 thermostat. aka a $1500 thermostat..because you may as well replace the water pump and belts while its taken apart...

Yeah, this. I'd only lease a German car for as long as it's under the bumper-to-bumper with a maintenance plan. When the problems start, just go get another one.

Can confirm. Repairs for German vehicles add up. Parts alone can be expensive on VW/Audi vehicles. For reference, a Re-manufactured (not even new!) OEM front axle for my R32 is $500. And that is just the part, not even labor.

That cost alone caused me to replace and repair just the blown CV Boot I had instead of the entire axle, which was much more time consuming and involved. Good thing I do my own work on my cars...

QS5 is supposed to get better gas mileage than the other trim levels and the new RSQ5 will be a couple hundred pounds lighter. I don't know anything about Audis but my fiancé has had numerous audi vehicles new and old. I am sure he knows what will be in store for us or he would not want to get a Q5. Cargo space has been an issue for us. Every vacation we go on we have to drive two separate vechicles. It would be nice to pack everything in one vehicle. His new S4 only gets 19 mpg I believe. Of course I will miss the sonic and the 28 winter/32 summer mpg. The sonic has been the only vehicle in my life that has had good gas mileage. So we are used to paying for 93 octane and visiting the gas pump every few days lol.

About 5 years ago I worked for a VW dealer. Got in good with their high altitude team stationed here in Colorado and was invited for a "Family" drive. We drove an RS6 Avant, Porsche 911 GT3, Audi TT RS, and a VR6 Touareg R line that had been supercharged... needless to say i still Jones for a true German super car

The Chevy dealership I got the sonic from is right next door to the Audi dealership the FI got some of his cars from. I asked him if the next vehicle I get can come from the Audi dealership. Maybe that will come true soon. If I get a Q5 I'd have to think of my next dream vehicle.

I recommend an S model, if you go Audi. Don't get that confused with "S line" it's just cosmetic. Like everyone's saying, they're lovely to lease but unless you want to spend mad coin on maintenance be careful buying

I'll keep that in mind. I havent started looking at all. I could walk away with something totally different. I remember I had my heart set on an LTZ but fell in love with the RS.

Do you have issues with rain/water coming in your engine bay? Has anything rusted or oxidized too bad yet?
