what did you do to your Sonic today?

Finally finished swapping all the lights in my car to LED. Took about 2 weeks for them to arrive, figure out how to install them, figure out how to install them CORRECTLY, melt some plastic trim with a resistor, and finally get everything figured out to where my switchbacks work, lights stay on, they're aimed correctly, and all resistors and CANbus cancelers are tied down and out of the way. First month of owning my Sonic is in the books, so now I need to order a back bottom seat cushion since the previous owner burned a hole in the seat. Not huge, but I want it fixed while I can find OEM parts.

Where did you end up mounting the resistors for the rear turn signals? I have been trying to figure out the best place before I put mine in.

After a few years I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the parts I wanted for my first round. K&N CAI, ZZP Catback exhaust (with cat and muffler) and a Trifecta Elite tune.

The ordering was a couple of months ago and got them all installed a few weeks back.. now what to do next??

What are you looking to do with your sonic? Add more HP? Improve handling? Better braking? Interior accessories? Do you autocross? On my sonic I went for the GM performance suspension kit first then went for CIA and BNR tune. Right now I'm working on making it an all around better daily driver with lower cost upgrades. ZZP shifter bushings, weighted shift knob and LED headlights. You could go into several directions, so it really depends what your goals are.

Also, I kind of did the same as you waiting to mod the car. Only I didn't wait as long as you. Probably waited about six months after realizing, why am I waiting? It's just less time to enjoy the upgrades!

I ran the wires down behind the bumper cover and onto the frame underneath. Was the easiest solution I could find.

Dropping off at the collision repair place...some jerk came over into my lane and scratched/dented up my door and rear panel last week! Verdict is still out on fault. Oh well.

What did I do to my Sonic Today?

I had my exhaust system upgraded to a ZZP catback with second CAT and muffler delete today. Then I drove it around downtown Jackson Michigan to show off the sound and added power.

they do sound great and really hassle free for the most part. and i'll prolly replace the rest of the speakers when they start to go out one of these days.

Yeah it is just the red plastidip, but to get good even coverage the best way is to remove the bumper.
Masking works, but isn't the best.

Thanks for the tip. I have a dark blue hatch that I was planning on doing some plastidip on the rims, but after seeing this I may have to also do all that nasty chrome. Looks awesome!
