Removing the "Mustache" ??

OK, so after a little reading it sounds as though the plastic bar on the top of the lower grill is molded into the lower grill and can not be removed.

If anyone has removed it, please post a pic. That is the one part of the car that I do not like.

Maybe our only option to get the RS look is to get an RS grill? I wonder if the RS grill will fit the non-RS front bumper cover?

When the time is right, I will put remove the whole grill and replace it with metal mesh.

Thanks! I never noticed how bad that bar looked until you pointed it out. Now it's going to bother me forever until I can replace it.

If you replace the bumper wouldn't one have to change fog lights also as they wouldn't align the same??

Utah has that law, but it didn't stop me from going Burt Reynolds on it.

On most of my vehicles I have "modified" the front plate (folded it cut it etc) to make it as small as possible.

I was thinking just the RS grill, not then entire bumper cover. It looks to me that the only difference is the larger opening, and the fog lights themselves but the fog light openings look to be the same.

Is it legal to to do that? If it is, I might consider doing that as long as letter and everything are visible/legible.
