This issue has happened to me. I'm in scorching California. Fluid only comes out of my rear wiper. I thought I had pressed some tiny button that switched the fluid to "rear only" or something. I haven't actually looked under the hood, but basically, I get no fluid when I try to use the front wipers. I'll take a look at the pictures for the zip tie solution

Slipping the hose back on and a black zip tie will solve your problems with out having to waste time taking it to the dealer.

Had the same problem, took it into the dealer, they replaced the hose. No more problem.

Did same thing. Happened a second time. Zip tied it myself the second time. The connections can't handle the pressure and when they get hot they pop off.

Just tried to wash my front windshield today. nothing. Gotta find some zip ties now. :/

EDIT: Just went under the hood. The motor isnt even turning on. wtf.

How long till this becomes a recall? It is a sort of safety issue especially in colder states during winter months. Windshields quickly gather road grim and cannot be cleaned unless you stop at a gas station.

I don't own a sonic yet but I work on em all the time. Theres a recall I've done a ton at work. Its very simple it's actually taking off the left front wheel and wheelhouse liner and installing zip ties at hose connections. If its a sedan its 1 zip tie at the pump and 2 at the front hose union. If its a hatch its 2 zip ties at the pump connection, 2 at the front hose union and 2 at the rear hose union.

May I ask what this is for? I hear rattling coming from my left front wheel but I just assumed it was my mudflap.

Oh I misread your post. You talked about removing the front left wheel but I didn't think someone would go that far for a little hose that can be reached from the hood. My mistake.

Would this problem be an actual recall, or is it a service bulletin; only repaired if there is an actual failure?

Right now it has to be a service bulletin b/c as far as I know or have heard no notices a gone out.

When I was in the dealer yesterday for another issue the service guy said "Oh hey there's a recall for this!"

So either way they are aware and are fixing it.

It is a safety recall the actual number is 12176. I work for avis and we did a lot of them this past week, its been a recall for bout a week and a half now i think. Also the reason why we take of the wheel and wheelhouse is caus thats the only way you can access the washer fluid pump.
