Could be a ton of things, if it's still drivable take it to an auto parts store they will usually do a free scan on you ecu to see if the car is reporting any trouble codes. Take it to a trusted mechanic for a full diagnostic check if the auto parts stores come up empty.

I'm 6'3" 280lbs and my 2015 Sonic LT Hatchback fit me fine. I would say they have pretty average reliability a few weak points in the engine like most cars do. Pretty sure the Cruze and Sonic share the same engine so you might want to look further into that.
