    That has nothing to do with the code reader itself. It's just reporting what code the ECU is flashing. Chasing the MAF when it turned out to be an improperly installed oil cap just happens to be a bad diagnosis of what that engine code signaled.

    buddy just went thru this with his buick. was advised by good friend/professional mechanic to do both. kinda one of those, if ones failed, how soon til the next one goes right? long as its not gonna break the bank for you anyway. but if you're in there, swap'em both out.
