Sorry Laborsmith, but since you've been pushed back so much it makes December 3rd not seem so far away.

Today they say it's in QC I think I'm going a different route to see
what the real answer is - nothing more
frustrating than getting conflicting info

RS Turbo, that's cool you got to see it and drive it! Too bad they won't just let you drive it home and avoid the destination charge. Seems dishonest to me.

I recall there being a time that the closer the dealer was to the factory, the lower the transporation charge. Somewhere along the line the term became Destination Fee and the charge became uniform for each vehicle line.

That WAS the case, then they went to "equalized"
freight so everyone pays the same. There were
dealers that complained that people to go to
another state and pay less for the car because of
the freight charges - so they were equalized

The conversation I had with my Area Sales Manager
yesterday about Laborsmith's car is that there are
lot's of Sonics on QC hold. I noticed yesterday that
we just got a bunch in, so hopefully things are clearing
up and they will ship quickly

When the car is about to be built, how does a customer qualify to tour the plant assembly line and watch it be built like RS_Turbo and another guy here I saw on the forum?
I don't think I've heard of this opportunity before.

If it is a Corvette $500; any other Chevy it is who you know. Most GM executives (at least at one time) could by courtesy.
