Sounds like something odd has happened.
You might try this. When you go the Chevy's order tracker site and enter your order number it looks up your info and provides about zero useful information.
But then you can hit the chat now button to go to online GM people.
Note there are three layers of service of this online chat.
A) marketing. These folks are here to help with general questions and they have no access to information. Once connected to chat, ask if you can be transferred to customer service.
B) customer service. These folks have no more info but they know how to get it.... If you get the right person. Make sure to ask if they wouldn't mind calling the Order Center to help inquire about a delivery date for your order number.
C) once your customer service chatter is online with the order center, you can get much better answers and this is where you want to ask... I see my car doesn't have a vin but production may or may not have started, what's the background on this?
Its the order center people who have very detailed info, for instance they are able to tell me exactly where my car is in its shipping process-- it was unloaded from railcar this morning at 9:30am and waiting for trailer transport to dealer.
