blue tinted exhaust

I just installed a test pipe and now I'm getting a blue tinted smoke when I'm above 4 grand and de-accelerate.

It doesn't happen every time though.
Is this normal?

it could be anything from some residue on the pipe to worn piston rings. take it off and go to the dealer.

My vacuum line going from the intake to the intake manifold came off last week. It was probably off a couple days until I looked under the hood and fixed it yesterday.

Do you think that has anything to do with it?

thats funny. i have one installed.
If it had a leak in the can, could that cause this?
also, i just talked to one of my buddies and he said it MIGHT be the turbo. i dont know.

I have less than 15,000 miles on the car and have less mods than eric, doesn't make any sense.

Looks the oil from a top fuel car. Are you running E85 by chance?

Negative. I did a code scan and it came back clean. I drained the catch can and made sure the lines weren't going to wiggle their way off.

I just did a test drive and it only did it once and that was the first attempt, all other attempts to try and get it to show some blue smoke failed.

Maybe the can was just to full and the engine was sucking in the oil. after all, it is a cheap can.

Ill try again once it cools down.

Also, keep an eye on your EGR. I assume you are running a tune. You oil looks like that from water contamination. EGRs have been the culprits of clogged intakes, excessive coolant and oil consumption. With the 1.4 trying to stay in operating temp ranges in the winter the EGR is used as a stopgap.

All makers are having issues. I need to take a look at the 1.4 EGR design.
