but the rotors from the encore and the cruse diesel are not the same bolt on spcss.
yes they are bigger, yes they are 5 bolt , but they are 115mm distance.
our sonic bolt distance is 105mm..
i have been looking for a brake upgrade of this kind for a long time.
still have no solution.
the same brakes are used in the opel astra (j), and many other platforms.
but the bolt distance is different. 115mm VS 105mm
i haven't check this in real life, only from the spec sheets, so i will be happy if someone prove it to be wrong...
the brackets swap is a 10 min work.. so it will be a great upgrade for a cheap price.

A redrill of the rotors is about 10 bucks

I was looking at the GMPP big brake kit but they discontinued it, I just can't see spending the money for the Brembo kit. ZZP's kit looked alright but I'd rather go with OEM parts since you'll never have to worry about finding replacement parts down the road.
So this really looks like a simple matter of picking up the rotors, having them redrilled and picking up a set of caliper brackets?

I actually have the sonic and Encore rotors where I work. The bolt pattern is the same 5x105 matches perfectly even the height of the rotor.

If the big brake kit from zzp was supposed to fit with a 15" wheel I wouldn't see why this swap wouldn't work.

That can't be correct, the Cruze diesel for sure doesn't have the same bolt pattern or rotor diameter as the gas Cruze/Sonic.

Can't they aren't the same PDC
ZZP kits use oem style parts.. You can buy at any auto parts store
I just bought "RS" rear caliper mounts for $18ea, brand new. They bolt right on the drum brake Sonic rear axle. Heavy duty cast iron instead of potentially flimsy 1/4" plate on the aftermarket kits

I'm goin to take pictures of the encore and sonic rotor when I return to work Friday. Someone said earlier in the thread the encore and cruze diesel used the same brake pads.... I mistakenly put encore/diesel cruze when referring to the rotors, I appoligize for that mistake.
The caliper and pads are one in the same (supposedly), I will also be taking pics of them too.

Would these brackets works with the pieces supplied with the ZZP kit? I would prefer to have these on my car.

No since the zzp kit uses cav rear calipers.

ok... the brackets mpfab used are the rs ones though, right? He has a non rs that he put them on though I do believe correct? Why couldn't someone swap drums on a non rs to the sonic rs rear disc parts then. I know that the "axle" in the back is a different part number from rs to non for some reason and I though it had something to do with the fact it has rear disc.
