The calipers I bought were buy now or make offer. Did you make an offer or were you just eyeballing them?Lol I knew it, oh well.....
No I never made an offer on the rears but I did on the fronts. The calipers I bought were buy now or make offer. Did you make an offer or were you just eyeballing them?
This is actually fantastic information. I've been pretty weary on getting the ZZP rear disc kit and would like to use parts that were originally made for the car as much as possible. Gotta have that sleeper status.
i have the brackets part number.
but i am not sure if the calipers from the sonic are the same as the encore.
they have different parts numbers, and the pads are seems to be higher.
61.1 mm vs 60.3 mm....
see the centric pad number for the encore\volt calipers 10x.14670:

We will know for sure by the second week of march, i would think the caliper wont matter just the bracket because the pads are almost identical. It is usually the bracket now a days that dictates what pads for because that is where they mount.A couple of us will know for sure in a week or so if the Sonic calipers will work in the Encore caliper brackets.
Another part that we haven't talked about yet that we'll need are the splash shields. The larger diameter discs will extend past the Sonic's splash shields. You could probably get away without them but if you want to do the swap 100% right you'll need them.
If the pad is higher I don't think it will work... Plus the encore caliper might be made to take the extra force from the extra pad surface. Just a guess.
**** you auto correct!
Did you order the encore pads stew? Im interested to see a side by side comparison. I think your right about the height just filling the gap that the sonic pad shows. I'm thinking about going with the ebc green stuff myself what did you get?
