Bypassing the the bypass valve solenoid.

If your having issues I can snap pics when I do this again had to revert for some warranty work and will be going back and bypassing in the next week or so

Did the bypass mod a while back. I just realized I have been driving for not sure how long with the hose to the manifold off. I must have used hose 1 size too big, and it stretched and fell out. Had to replace it because i could tell it wouldn't stay. Anyhow, never really noticed when it came off, but things are definitely running smoother now.... LOL

P2261 Bypass valve stuck ? I bypassed the Bypass valve solenoid that is attached to the manifold. The wires are still connected. That would be why I’m seeing the P2261 correct?
Went straight from the manifold port to the hard vacuum tube for bypass valve.
Am I understanding the bypass valve code correctly ?

The solenoid should remain connected to the ECM or it will trigger a code.
I'd suggest checking the vacuum line for any signs of kinking, collapsing, tears, or holes.
Otherwise make sure any and all open ports are blocked off.
Going straight from the manifold to the hard tube is correct. Some have opted to ignore the hard tube and used aftermarket vacuum hose straight to the turbo.
If you can't find anything physically wrong, clear the code and see if it returns.

So this code stopped coming up. It would appear when I would have a boost spike along with the mass air flow code. Everything is working great now.
Just did this today
Didnt notice any more power but noticed it was way more eager to build boost after shifting. Can see this making city driving alot better. 2012 cruze 6 spd, bnr tuned, downpipe, full 2.5 straight pipe the rest of the way, aem intake, ported intake manifold, pcv reroute, tb spacer and now bypass mod.

Did I Do This Right?
I just did this mod the SX way, basically just running a vacuum line from the BPV to the intake man on the passenger side. Did I connect it to the right spot? Just making sure before I do some serious long term damage. She's more pleasant to drive but has no real low end grunt now. My guess is the connection is wrong :/
Also got a nice P2261 code after this mod

EDIT: Ok I did some rearranging and capped the port thats circled in the pic. I then spliced in the BPV hose to the green and black hose that was originally going to the manifold. She has her pep back and no trouble codes yet. Hopefully I did it right this time lol
