Lol, I don't want to know how much the stick weighs... How much does stock weigh?

I believe the stock hood weighs around 30 lbs.
I will weigh it when I do the swap.

I am new to forum participation. Can someone tell me how to post pictures without it showing up as a thumbnail? Do I have to load it up on another site and then paste the link, or is there a shorter/easier way?

Also how do I get my profile pic to show up under my username?

The picture that shows up below your user name is the avatar picture and you upload that separately! I'm new also so I'm not too sure how to upload pics..

I want to be the first to take the plunge on the CF hatch. I may call to check availability today. If the hood cuts down 15lbs. of fat, I can imagine the hatch dropping 15-20 lbs. I'm also looking at braille batteries that are approx 15-20 lbs lighter than stock. Losing the res and muffler on top of that..... we could be talking a total of 70lbs removed. That's a 2% weight loss.

I knew I wanted a hood with an extractor (ricer) vent and expected I would be getting a fiberglass hood. The Seibon CF Hood came to market and I got it. As far as I know, there still is no fiberglass hood with a heat extractor vent.

Is there a reason for the vent? Depends on what one wants; if one wants the highest possible mpg, than stay away from this type of hood. Based on my reading heat in the engine bay (within reason, of course) will help produce more mpg while extracting the heat will lower mpg at the risk of improving performance.

Based on that understanding, I decided I wanted to use an extractor (ricer) hood. As I said, the style of hood depends on what you are looking for.

I was waiting for someone to call it rice. I see alot of imports and domestic 4 bangers driving around with fake vents or even useless vents and sometimes cowl hoods. Leave cowl hoods for v8s. That stuff is rice. Since we have a Turbo and try to extract heat this is a good start. This looks good and is a performance gain in its own right.

If you are looking for looks alone go with the OEM cf hood. It will look great. I myself like them both. Each to there own. My last import I built was Turbo ed and wish they offered a hood like this at the time. It got crazy hott!

I wouldn't use that term too loosely LS. Pocket Rocket has a dual meaning. The other one being a small battery operated device that many women carry around in their purses. "Travel size" if you catch my drift.

Looking at the front CF bumper lip and the rear CF lip (with diffuser?)
Anyone has these?
I am trying to picture these on my car if its truly worth the $$$$
The other body kits i've seen, reminds me of how the hyundai sonatas were back in the early 1990s' (mehh)
