I think your best bet for Comifornia approved is waiting for the K&N to hit the market. It usually always carries the CARB cert including a sticker to put on or around the intake for proof.

CA wont ask you to smog the car for 6 years, keep the SAB and throw it on when you need to smog. It should only take 15-20 minutes tops to swap it out.

Honestly if this intake sounds good I'm in since the gains will probably be the same as the DDM or the K&N and will cost nearly $100 less.
