Stereo Install (keeping headunit, but replacing speakers and adding amp)

What do you have your PBR300X4 dials set to?
I pretty much mirrored the install above seeing how it was pretty much the only manual online for this route. The amp just stays on all the time even when the car is off I have just changed my ground to the same stud you used but that pesky blue light stays on all the time so from my understanding it is the High Level adjustment screw that messes with the amount of voltage that needs to be sent to the amp to turn it on but I haven't found that sweet spot where it turn on when I turn on my stereo. Or it may be something else and I am trying the wrong thing.

Did you have any problem fitting the Infinity Reference component speakers in your door? Crutchfield says the current Kappa 60.11cs has a magnet diameter .4" too large and the current Infinity Reference 6500cx is .2" too large, but Primus series ones will fit. How tight a fit were yours?

Digging this up again because it's the exact same build and so much relevant information is here already.
So, today I started the install finally
parts have only been in the garage for 4-5 months lol. Through reading on here and getting started, i have a few questions.
I'm mounting my amp right below the HU, like KevinM. Thus I have easy access to the four speaker wires from the source. I know the front use a (passive?) crossover for the tweeters, so I'll be running all new wires for the front door and tweets. Easy peasy, although I'm not looking forward to getting thru the door.
My question is mainly, is there anything funny between the HU and rear speakers, like a crossover? I wouldn't think so, since there's no rear tweeters and idk why they'd be split with the fronts somehow. I would very much like to reuse the stock wiring and be done with it.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I am on so many audio forums, I get lost.
I have no proof, but I remember in my reading before I did my install that many thought the rear speakers had a Low Pass Filter (won't play any frequencies above a certain point).
Since my car was already apart, I just decided to run new wire. So I can't say for sure either as I never tested it. Only the rumors
Are you referring to the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4? Mine clearly turns on and off. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer to see what they say

I'd say for the cleanest install with out having to splice the the lines would be to get a PAC AA-GM44 adapter. Direct plug in for the car and gives power to the amp (has install instructions for the wiring.) Use the spare fuse slot for the power and have the ground attached to the frame under the dash. This unit can be a pita trying to get the head unit to fit back into place, but will be worth it. Your amp will be turned off when the car is off and there will be no need to have to splice any wires.
Forgot to add this in here but for best sound in the car I recommend these settings for the equalizer tuning on the head unit. The mylink head unit may be different.
Bass - set this to 2 depending on the size and number of subs in the car.
Mid - set this to 4. Keeps the bass from over powering the mid range.
Treble - Make the same as the mid for the same reason.
Fader - Put this to R2. Makes the sounds more balanced because of the car's own acoustics.

Can't find cable...
I have the speakers installed, but I can't seem to find the cables under the head unit that he tapped into for the amp. Below are pictures of the cable that I think is it, but I can't seem to find every speaker wire on that by color. That bundle is connected into the back of the base of the headunit (behind the temp dials) along with two others. Any help as to where the speaker wire cable is located? Is it this bundle of cables? Thanks!
