I'll retrace my experience one more time. When I first installed the TTR, it idled like a buzz saw. It was almost unbearable. About 400 miles later it had gotten a little better.
I installed the DDMW intake and heat shield, and learned that the heat shield didn't sit right because it wasn't designed to be installed on top of the thinner TTR mount.
So I went to the hardware store to get some steel spacers, and I had a light bulb moment. I got the idea to go with nylon instead in hopes that it would soften up the buzz.
I installed them and the heat shield lined up like it was intended. Now I'm not gonna say that I suddenly noticed the vibes immediately disappear, but I was also so mesmerized by the amazing new sound of the SRI that I forgot to pay attention to the vibes.
Over the next 4-5000 miles I have come to feel almost no vibrations at all. Only when I read people's complaints about the vibrations, am I reminded that mine used to be just as bad.
I do believe the nylon improved the situation, but I can't discredit the break-in miles that I've put on it as well.
