Easy, 3 bolts. 8mm IIRC. The lower one doesn't have room for a ratchet, but a box wrench will get'r'done.

I've decided to no longer rage about plasti-dip. Doesn't mean I'll ever use it, but I don't want talk down on ppl that are enjoying doing arts/crafts to their cars. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a shop and got to watch Chevy Jedi Masters build some serious hot rods, and that has shaped how I view the word "modification".

However, if the next guy is enjoying his own brand of creativity on his own project that he feels proud of, I can respect that.

Yeah, to prevent you from burning your hand. Funny thing is I burnt my hand on one of those covers once and that warning pic was branded into my hand for a week. I took a pic.

Just a word of advice, the exhaust shroud is intended to capture radiant heat to protect some of the heat sensitive parts within close proximity. I plan to replace it with a custom fab'd stainless shield, but in the meantime, I feel that the extractor vents in my hood help escort some of the heat out.
Use your own discretion if you feel like removing yours.

did you actually pull the headers and dress them up or where they already looking that good?

I just carefully masked off the "headers" and sprayed them with some exhaust paint I had lying around.

Headers look good. I wonder how much of a pain it would be to remove and ceramicoat the turbo manifold, turbo hot side and down pipe.

Would wrapping the downpipe in DEI would do anything you think?

Ceramic Coating should make a noticeable difference in temp, I've been told by a guy that did it on his Eclipse.

I don't see how wrapping could hurt.

I thought wrapping caused problems with rusting out the pipes. They retain water or something..

i've had my pipes wrapped on my harley for a long time and i've never had the pipes rust yet. you want to spray them with a ceramic high temp paint before you wrap them though

I can't decide if I want to install the white shark fin. It's huge, and my signal has been fine with the RC antenna unscrewed and removed.
