Fortunately the trans wasn't damaged, other than the 3 holes we had to drill in the case to gain access to the pressure plate bolts to get the trans off.

The heat of the clutch hub binding on the slave fuse welded them together, making it impossible to pull the trans without unbolting the pressure plate from the flywheel.

Waiting to here back from CM, but I sent them a bunch of pictures that show clear evidence that it was their fault, and I expect them to rush deliver me a new Flywheel, Clutch and Throwout Bearing. opcorn:

I'm taking it pretty well. I enjoyed doing the work, because it gave me an in depth understanding of just about every view and mechanism under the hood.

FYI, everything is 18mm, 15mm, 13mm and two 21mm.

Also, I know know that trans swaps down the road are well within the capacity of my ability. First time took 4.5hrs start to finish. I can do it in 3 hrs now.

Bummer about the disc. Did the slave itself get damaged in the bindfest?

It got destroyed. The throwout bearing and slave come as a unit and come with the clutch kit.

So they will give me another with the replacement kit. It all boils down to them putting the sticker on the wrong side of the disc. A costly mistake. For both of us.

Funny thing is, if they had just put no sticker on at all, I would have put it in correctly in the first place. It seemed fishy during install, but I just assumed trust what the manufacturer suggested on the sticker.

Ouch. Labels can be a double edged sword when used incorrectly. Hopefully they'll comp you accordingly.

I hope they cover the cost of a new on and sending it.

I hate to be "that guy" but I expect them to pay for the labor at this point. I'll eat the 4.5 hours on the initial install, but any additional labor as a result of their improper instruction should not cost me out of pocket.

It was quite heinous if I may say so. There was only one other option, and that would've been to disassemble the trans in place, which I was not willing to do.

That's not bad. Jb weld will cover them up nicely and some aluminum colored paint will make people non the wiser
