TTR Solid Trans Mount

Maybe a sligtly softer upper and the trans mount might get what most of us are looking for in performance and vibration tolerance. I know that fatigue was a problem with the upper mount on softer compounds but maybe with a harder trans mount it will give us the best of both worlds. I know it would be a pain and won't happen, I think it would get me into a mount sooner than later though.

So ur saying that a tranny mount is pointless?

No, he said the intial unit would disintegrate after time (which TTR told us earlier about, stock arm with polymer poured in) and while it was in place it wasn't as good of a single performance enhancement like the top mount. Both of them together ill be an improvement, just not a huge increase over just the top mount installed.

The lower trans mount should help with vibs...

Being only the upper mount, one side is stiff and one flops. Picture one side not moving and one side flopping. The not moving side has all this "forced" movement going through it. Causing vibs.

Once members have both the lower trans and upper engine, I think vibs will feel much less. As neither side can get enough momentium to cause vibs as they do now... Make sense?

Give it some time too. Warmer weather and 1,000 miles on the mount does wonders!

Lol its a high of 40 degrees here. I am not complaining about quality. The welds look great to. I got a 300 miles road trip this weekend so it should do it great

I have had the upper mount installed for 5 months now. Once it broke in it did vibe less, but you still know it's there (rattles). Especially on cold start ups. Just turn up the radio lol. I'll keep my eye on this one to upgrade 2013.

That should loosen up all the dirt in the floor, making it easier for you to vacuum.

Thanks Arron. I will. Jump on it once we get some reviews of both installed. If things are about the same I will probably wait until the summer so the heat will help with break in.

Got my motot mount today. Easy install, took about 30 mins much of which was finding my tools.

Intial impressions are good, it does vibrate but it was different than I expected. Its a constant vibration that gets better or worse at certain rpms and throttle positions but is nowhere near as strong as I was expecting. I don't mind it at the moment its more racecar feeling with the vibs and I know it'll get better with some miles.

The mount improves driving feel significantly. Throttle inputs feel more immediate, shifting is better and so far I have not gotten any wheel hop.

I'm very pleased with this upgrade, well worth the money for any driving enthusiats that demands an engaging and connected driving expierence

He's running an 18" Magnaflow resonator, he is considerably quiter now. It's more of a controlled turbo mini tractor motor vs all out angry turbo mini tractor motor.
