Turbo Swap Hatch Build

My build started with an automatic 2012 Red Sonic Sedan. I absolutely hated the sedan and the automatic so fall of 2016 I sold the sedan for my 2013 Granite Black Hatchback. Manual transmission. So lets get to the fun stuff....

The biggest mod I had done on the old car was a turbo swap to a GT2056. In the down time from buying the new car I sent the GT2056 out to get rebuilt and had it machined to fit a slightly larger compressor wheel from its older brother GT2560R.

So my mods are...
1. GT2056 w/larger compressor wheel built by Work Turbochargers.
2. MPFab custom exhaust manifold
3. MPFab custom down pipe.
4. MPFab custom intake pipe w/MAF honeycomb.
5. MPfab Intercooler.
6. MPfab anaconda.
7. MPFab Battery Tray
8. MPFab DRS.
9. MPFab Anaconda
10. MPFab Ported throttle body
11. MPFab/HPTuners Tuned
12. MPFab Oil Feed Adapter
13. MZ0 Transmission
14. ZZP cat back
15. ZZP 12" Front brakes.
16. ZZP Rear disk break conversion.
17. ZZP Rear Sway Bar
18. ZZP gauge pod (not in use)
19. 52 lb injectors
20. Ported intake manifold
21. Bypass the bypass
22. Spec stage two+ clutch with aluminum flywheel
23. Autometer cobalt gauges: wideband, boost, & water.
24. Summer wheels: Klutch ML7 wheels. 17 x 9 et 30 Drilled from blanks to 5x105. Tires are BFGoodrich G-force Comp 2's 255 40 17's Approximate finished Wheel & tire weight: 46lbs
25. Other wheels: Sparco Assetto Gara. 17 x 7 et 40. 205 50 17 Sumitomo Tires DESTROYED. I dont know what I am going to do with these wheels at this point. Wheel & tire weight: 37lbs
26. Winter wheels: 17 x 6.5 oem ltz wheels with 205s 50 17's. Wheel & tire weight: 41lbs
27. Turbo tech racing solid trans mount.
28. Pedders Racing coilovers.

Some other stuff I may want to complete the build..
1. Carbon fiber parts
2. Solid engine mount
3. BNR short shifter
4. BNR shark fin antena

Who ported your throttle body?

Also, why the return line... for cooling or the larger pump? I assume you're not running an FMU in there

I am not going to say who ported the throttle body just because I don't know if he wants people bugging him for custom work he doesn't really care to take on.

In regards to the fuel pump and returning the fuel line. I am simply going off of what two other big turbo sonic owners had to do in order to maintain fuel pressure when making big power. This turbo should make 250whp or more on 93 oct high boost so with E85 I am assuming I will need to do a similar set up.

Good idea, easier to go with what others have done successfully.

I could post some pics of my sonic now but it is sitting pretty stock looking now because I dont lower it or run my rims in the winter. It is getting warmer out though so hopefully I will be lowering her and putting the sparcos on mid March.

I did a pull today while I was scanning on HPTuners for everyone to see...
-Boost is in Kpa to convert take (241 x .145) - atmospheric pressure 14.5 = 20.44lbs of boost.
-I was also flowing 24lbs/minute of air. Not making any hp claims but generally every 1lb of air is good for 10hp.
-Was running a little richer than I would like towards the end.
-Injectors are very close to maxing out.

You really need to turn that sucker up. I expect more power then just 24lbs/min

Also with a big turbo and E85, you will run out of fuel pump. Just a heads up.

24lbs of air pretty good considering I am only running 20lbs of boost. I know about the fuel pump, I have plans to upgrade.

How many pounds of boost are you running? And yeah I can't wait. I am just taking it easy until I can get on the dyno and have a professional fine tune it.

MPFab himself has done all of my tuning. I make minor adjustments like afr, adjusting boost pressure, and timing.
