You need to try to NLS through the gears on the RS, I was ale to hit 198km/h in a relatively short distance. Not sure of the rough distance I was having way too much fun.

But you definitely need some dry pavement and a long straight away to have all the fun. I would have kept going until the speed limiter, but there was a car that kinda looked like and pulled out like a cop, soo...

I found the brakes work well from that speed though.

Frankly I've been a bit intimidated by the NLS..lol. I can hear my daddy yelling at me now.

I won't be doing that fast anytime soon, but I do plan on playing with the NLS once I get upgraded and my issue fixed.

I was hesitant to try NLS at first too. The 1st-2nd gear NLS is tricky IMO.
I suggest starting out by trying 2nd-3rd.

Anyone who has driven a manual gearbox for any length of years will find it extremely hard to fight the urge to let off the throttle while pushing in the clutch. But once you you get it right it becomes like 2nd nature.

She shuts it down shortly after 20 psi, even if I'm still accelerating. I've got to re-learn how to drive in order to hold it out. Just like the slightest breath on the accelerator will send you rocketing, the teensiest hesitation (which unusually don't even notice I'm doing) will lose it. But still I feel comfortable with the quicker acceleration.

Sounds like the T/C. That's why many of us pull the abs fuse. But have you tried holding down the t/c button for 10 seconds? It almost disables most the t/c override stuff. But not all of it.

I would say it is tricky for the 1-2 NLS. I've only been able to do it once. That being said I believe most of the issues that I have had trying it were lack of traction and me being hesitant to try it and the hesitation is what threw me off.

On another note, I have tried to shift without lifting in my Mustang beforehand and it took me awhile to get good at it.

I will suggest that you perfect 3-4 and 2-3 first before trying the 1-2 NLS

It's hard to explain. When I really get on it she'll boost like crazy up to that 21.90 (I'm sure 22, but the UG just doesn't catch it) then "blow off" at about 3k rpm. If I ease her into the boost she'll hold it til I lift to shift. I know "blow off" isn't what I mean to say but since I don't know what i mean to say, I hope you get what I mean.

Would the TC light up if it was doing it? I haven't messed with it much. Speaking of TC... If the car is fighting wind, would the TC make the car feel like its getting loose? The light never comes on. I've never been in a vehicle that feels so poorly connected to the road with the wind. This is considering i live in KS and have driven a bus for a number of years. Even they don't feel that goosey. It can be scary, especially when I pass!

I have noticed that with the tune the car will try to torque steer a bit. Plus with such a small car any tiny bit of crosswind likes to throw the car around, plus when passing it is a changing crosswind makes it a bit scary.

Also, I've noticed that the car gets upset when drive in ruts from poorly designed roads.

Does this sound like what you are talking about?

There is a flashing light anytime the TC kicks in.

I haven't noticed a difference in steering but I'm not sure if I'd recognize torque steering or not.

I realize this car is smaller and lighter than anything I've ever driven, I'm hoping a tire upgrade and some Eibachs will help this out.

Tire upgrade and lowering will definitely help but there will always be that split second when passing a truck at freeway speeds when the loose sensation will be there but you learn to expect it and the sensation will not be a bother.

When you breach the threshold of traction, the squiggly tire tracks of doom light will flash in the tach. It's only momentarily though.

My starting procedure is: get in, buckle up, start the car, hold TC/ESC button down until both lights light up.

For more spirited driving (NLS antics), just yank the ABS fuse like Preloader said.

One more edit: I always hit the button here in KS. It is undriveable on the highway here if you don't. Crosswinds + TC/ESC = ****

Aha! THIS is the affirmation I was looking for. I thought I was going to take flight passing this afternoon. It's damn near undriveable especially combined with a wet road! I'll give that a shot.

I run 87 and drive like an old woman according to my wife. I won't be crying.

When I want to feel power I ride my modified raptor 660 and compared to that a modded sonic is a dog.

Maybe it's in my head, but since the tune, my engine temps have dropped a good amount. That's counting its WARMER outside now. Probably something random, but I was running 225-ish before and now I am running around 197. Interesting.

I noticed that it dropped 20 degrees Celsius for me. I was running 114C now I'm at 94C

Temperature drop is the tune. Lower engine temps = greater engine power while higher = better fuel mileage.

It is my belief engine temps around 200* will be better for our turbocharged engine than temps around 220" but only time will tell.
