Hatchback for the win
I’m a hatchback guy from way back, having owned three GM 3-door hatches built in the 1970s. One of the most versatile and fun cars I’ve ever owned was a 2000 Honda Civic CX hatch, which I replaced with my 2013 Sonic Hatch Turbo stick. I appreciate that Chevy “hid” the rear door opening handles on my Sonic to make it look like a 3-door. To me, a hatchback (especially a 3-door) says “sporty and fun, though practical” whereas a sedan says “I’m bored and burdened by having to carry children around”. Hatches are far more practical in terms of carrying “stuff” compared to a sedan.
