ZZP Rear Sway Bar for Sonic - Anyone installed it?

Also I have a autocross Sunday and I intend to just run the front bar. Should be fun to review it's performance.

From what I have heard, the production bar will be "soft". I was using the soft setting with the winter tires on. I threw the LTZ wheels on and switched to the hard setting at the same time. What little I have done so far sure does seem nice. Hoping for decent weather tomorrow.

I can clearthe one round about at about 35 MPH with the winter tires, BNR bar (soft) and DDM brace. Might be able to test out the 17s, BNR firm, ddm, and zzp tomorrow.

Quick update on the sway bars. HUGE improvement over the stock set up. Still unable to push the set up as much as I would like due to cooler temps. The car seems to behave very well. Fairly predictable and if completely botched it will push. The tires are not helping me a whole lot though. They give up easy right now. the "race" tires will be a lot better.

Good tires do matter. I may have missed something, but are you running all three suspension up4grades: the DDM brace, the BNR front and the ZZP rear bars? If not, which?

All three currently installed. BNR is set to the firmest position. I know im cheating since the production one doesnt have that option. Depending on the fuel economy hit I may remove the ZZP except for when an event is coming up. It does hang below the rear twist beam.

Im not swapping out to a stock front and removing the DDM bar any time soon.

Weather was much nicer today. Given my set up, WOW. It just sticks. Im sure that Scot knows what round about I am talking about, but I have to use a nice two lane roundabout everyday on the job site. I really need a chance without traffic, but even with tires that give up early I still managed 40 on the inside lane with no squeal or squirm.

I need to hit up the 18 1/2 to 53 north roundabout. Fairly decent sized one and a nice right, left, right, left series. Should be even more fun with the sticky tires.

BNR on the front and ZZP/DDM on the rear. My shocks and struts are on the way out so replacing them may help. Going with RS shocks and struts. Already have the struts, just need the shocks.

Seems like a really awesome setup. I like a car that keeps planted under hard turns. You ever feel like it's too much?

Not yet. I was used to driving a lowered Cavalier with a bigger front bar, extra rear bar, and it had the factory twist beam that already had a bar welded in it. Very similar to what I have now as far as the basic set up.

I'm waiting to get my springs, endlinks, and finish my exhaust then I may consider picking up those bars. The way you describe it makes me think I'd really like them given my driving style.

So far I feel they are worth it. That being said, I do have the adjustable front bar. The regular production one is not adjustable. I would suggest starting with the DDM insert, then a front upgrade, and then maybe the ZZP rear bar. Do one at a time and see how you like it. The ZZP rearbar and DDM insert may be too much for the regular production BNR front bar. I do not know how the two BNR bars compare.

Still waiting for nicer weather to really push the limits of the car right now.
