I found that placing the MAF tube in between the two specter parts with silicon couplers will allow you to ditch the zip ties as it will hold itself up.

I tried that but I couldn't get the plug for the maf to reach...I'm gonna make a wrap around bracket for the tube and bolt it to the frame like the person who started the thread...if it was leaking I would be able to hear it right? I'm always nervous when I diy things!
..the zip ties look bad I know!

Yea that looks good! I used a 3 in to 2.5 in to connect the 90deg pipe to the Turbo...should I have used a straight 3inch tube with the black silicon ring in the tube instead?

It looks like you have the exact same parts as me minus one coupler. Pick up an extra and you should be able to swap it in minutes.

thats a pretty nice setup, I was thinking about putting on blue wire protectors but thought it might've looked a lil cheesy. Isn't the part where the MAF sensor is a lot smaller in diameter than the spectra 3" tubing?

It's a bit smaller but it does the trick for now.

Didn't have the money to buy a name-brand intake yet, so I settled for this with a tune for now (pretty much the same anyway, only this one's plastic and does not come with any mounts) I had to make the bracket that goes around the second bend and onto the frame so it doesn't wobble around as much, but the filter hits a metal tube that looks like for the air conditioning. There's a rubber hose already around the part where the filter hits, it makes me wonder if the stock airbox touches it. My question here is, and I'm pretty sure I already know what the answer will be, if this is okay? I have some soft foam wrapped around it after I took these pictures and the filter only taps the tube upon startup and besides that just rests on it. I was lifting up the filter in the last picture

I am building this as well and was curious what parts you needed to buy.. Tubing wise looks like you used a 90degree, a 20? and where it connects on the turbo did you need one of those reducer couplers? Do you get a Blow of Valve sound with this? If its easier to reply via private message feel free to do that..

That bend where the clamp is? That looks like a 45 to me.
