This was a neat article on wheel hop, but I think it's different for front wheel drive cars? I don't know. Curious what you guys thought. The remedy was poly bushings for the suspension.

Just to clear up my understanding a bit - did you mean the input shaft from the clutch to the transmission, or one of the splines that connect to the axle?

If it's the former...

I can't confirm til I get it out. But all signs point to a broken transmission input shaft. Definitely not the axles.

Withe the insane amount of wheel hop I induced, it's not even an issue of a weak input shaft. I doubt there are many transmissions that could have survived.

That's why I'm going all in on fixing the hop.

Here are his low beams compared to the stock high beams in a post earlier in this thread. I'd expect the high beams to match the low beam.

I'm nervous about running the high beams much, the new bulbs are 100W, the stocks are 85 I believe.

Since I have owned the car, I literally have never used the high beams. These new bulbs are more about the water grease reflection in the assemblies for me.

I'll get a pic of them lot up when it gets dark.

As far as the MZ0 and the LCA bushing project....... I'm back at the refinery working crazy hours, so I can't do the tranny swap til I get a weekday off.:blankface:

I'm waiting for the urethane mix to arrive, but I figure I'll just do the bushings while I have the subframe out for the trans. No sense in unbolting the suspension twice.
