After buying my last two cars the sales managers were both so angry with me they refused to shake my hand. I hope to accomplish the same here.
If the dealer is happy with you once the deal is done, then you paid too much.
Yeah the silver color is good color against the body panel lines. The black I have actually hides the line a bit which is a shame given the sonic actually have some depth to them.
nice, post pictures of it once you takes ownership. I suspect your tri coat white is one of the first such sonics on the site.

They recommend it in the snow states. After looking at the undercarriage I thought it could use a little help from the elements. This was the typical sell scheme at final closing and I said no several times. I finally excepted when I really had no interest. I got the whole thing for $300 from the original $1,500 asking price. The protection package included - paint, frame fogging, rust spray, fabric, and the whole bottom is sprayed black for sound deadening protection. The product used was by Protector.
I worked at dealerships many years ago as a porter and then later sales. I am aware of the hard sell and money making schemes of dealers, that is why buying a car is one of the hardest experiences to go through. You don't know if they are being honest with you, and you don't want to buy too much car.

I inquired about the undercoating and my salesman/sales manager said that it is not needed here in NJ. I was surprised hat they did not try to sell me. Based on where you live, I would imagine you made a good choice. A friend if mine lives in VT, and would never buy a car without having it applied. Years ago everyone was selling the stuff. At one point, GM did not even recommend applying it anymore.
I had an old Camaro that was undercoated from the dealer. That thing had NO RUST. No matter where you lived, you really needed it on the old cars. Based on your location, I would imagine you made a good choice.
On another note, I am really enjoying my new Sonic! Took a three hour trip and am averaging 41.2 miles per gallon, and that was not all highway.
