Well I was curious and had to go back and take a look at the Bringgo website. Specifically to look at the "approved device list". They've actually made the list SHORTER!!!! There were a whopping 19 approved devices on there a month or two back. Now it is down to 13. Way to go Bringgo....

The unapproved device list is now 20 pages long. Well at least they are adding devices. Just not where it is of any benefit to anyone.

So, there was an update to the Bringgo app on my Samsung last weekend. Now, after starting Bringgo on my phone then try to connect to Bringgo on MyLink the phone app dies. Anyone else having problems with this?

I emailed bringgo customer service and told them the problem I was having. I got a response later that day/night stating that it would be fixed today, and it was! I was able to use it on my phone and on my mylink. Now I need to give it a few test drive miles and see how it works and to see if it's worth to $50 or $60 dollars they want. I keep finding reasons to like my Sonic.

Update on BringGo. I was looking around the Android market, and noticed BringGo was listed (for Korea). I have a Samsung Galaxy 4S, which has not been supported. I just checked today-- and it showed "Purchased" in the market, so I am drinking the cool-aid again and I am about 90% through the installation of the BASE Data (incl. 3D Junction View) portion. I spent $60 on this damn thing, I WANT IT TO WORK. Funny thing, I am a registered purchaser, but no email announcement, NADA, from BringGo to say "Hey, your device is now on the approved list, go try it". Pretty piss poor if you asked me, but I am going to TRY IT AGAIN and see if it'll work. I'll report back my findings tomorrow.



**UPDATE** -- SO I installed it. The installation (on a phone that never had it before) was pretty quick, no lock ups, smooth. I plugged in a "night club" in Las Vegas as a destination, and it calculated the route in about 10 seconds... plus listed all of the traffic issues along the way (6). Impressive, on my Galaxy 2s, it would lock up, barf. I noticed there's an option to "lower the music volume" during updates. I am not going to go try it out. Maybe BringGo listened to us, and changed the thing to work as it should. So far so good.

Holy $!$!@ it works. A few new features (like the mpg/fuel range thing). The GPS nav shows your lat/long/elevation/speed/etc. The music though, will mute-- 1-2-3-4 secs then "Turn right on.." --- then the music comes back on. Not like Google maps, but a little better from what I remembered on the previous version (and my galaxy 2s). Tomorrow will be the big test with rain/crappy drive to work and a ton of accidents (will use the AVOID button frequently). If this works as it should, I'll be impressed. Has taken nearly 10 months, but maybe they figured it out.

OK, so drove to work. It did not receive any traffic info my my route (first rain in SOCAL in ~4-5 months), though it did list traffic alerts on fwys I was not on. It got me to work, on my standard route, no hiccups, no glitches (a first).

So I am giving it a go for the remainder of this tank of gas to see what other new features pop up. So far so good. It should have been this way from the start.

I do not have a Sonic, but just got a Spark EV last week. There seem to be a lot more MyLink users on this Sonic forum than on any Spark forums, and since we have the same MyLink unit it seems worthwhile to discuss here.
My wife just got a new Galaxy S4 yesterday so I bought the BringGo $.99 trial app (ver. 1.1.2.3 dated 2/25/14) and it does seem to work glitch free. I agree the audio mute for turn directions is a bit long, but other than that no issues yet.

Since I am on the trial I can't try the traffic.

I next need to find out how BringGo works with iPhone. I am not an Apple fan and have never purchased an Apple product, but my employer is about to replace our BlackBerrys with iPhones. It looks like EnGIS perfected the BringGo app on iPhone, and is just getting it to work on modern Android devices.

Well, after a weekend of use, there's still a few problems... #1, the traffic notices for your route don't work (it shows GREEN for everything). I drove over 200 miles this weekend, and it never worked (I could browse the "list" of traffic incidents, some even on my route, but they never showed up on my route on the side bar).

The only other thing, is the voice turn/by turn is very choppy-- I am trying to try different settings on my phone to make sure it's not an android voice issue, but it did work for about 6 hours before the choppy talk started.

I had to turn the "you are over the speed limit" notification off,it drove me nutty.. i have really enjoyed this product thus far...when you are low on gas it will give you a little gas tank notification and if you click on it, you will be directed to "x" amount of stations around you..

So I just got a new phone (iPhone 5s). Bringgo worked nicely with my galaxy s3. I'm wondering if I have to buy the app again or is there some way to not pay for it again to have it on my 5s?

I know if you purchased the app from the apple App Store for a different apple device and then wanted it on another device (like replacing a lost phone) you can re download it as long as you use the same iTunes account. As far as purchasing it from google play, then trying to get a replacement from the App Store, I would think you need to take that up with BringGo. That's like buying something at Lowes and wanting Home Depot to replace it. Maybe you can get Engis (BringGo) to send a refund check for your new purchase.

Regarding that... in the apps settings (via the phone)-- Guidance settings, Speed limit, Speeding tolerance you can set it (I put to 20 over) to rarely get that notification -- BUT, when you then link your phone to Mylink, the notification setting reverts back to (I believe 10 over) the normal setting.

Today, the traffic notification worked, plus the voice wasn't choppy (and I didn't change anything on my phone... I did restart my phone previously and it still had the choppy voice then). So no idea why the choppy voice happened previously.

ALSO, I muted the turn by turn voice... and it began interrupting the radio "Take exit on right" etc... while in MUTE mode (red line through the speaker). I tried 3-4 times to unmute and remute... nothing changed.

So far, the routing has worked, worked to an out of state address even (whereas with previous version on a galaxy 2s it couldn't find the way), and no lock ups.

It's definately a "Ghost in the machine" kinda app. It does work better... so I'll use it.

I purchased BringGo 10 months ago, and it did not work on my Samsung Galaxy 4s. I recently found that the Samsung Galaxy 4s is now supported, and installed the application (I am a paid $60 user).

The navigation works, but there are a few issues I wanted to report.

#1. Traffic notifications do not work on the route travelled (though I can browse the list and it will allow you to see traffic information for other freeways/streets--- I am in San Diego, and it will show me notifications in Los Angeles, but nothing locally.)

#2. You cannot mute the turn by turn voice notices. I have selected the Mute button on the screen, the speaker has a red line through it, yet the voice notices continue (both the speed warning notices if I am above the posted speed limit and turn by turn navigation notices are still played).

No lock ups or other issues have been experienced over the last week when I installed the application. I had serious issues when I ran this initially on my Galaxy 2s, so this is good news.

I am running Android 4.3 kernel version 3.4.0-201552, build number jss15j.m919uvuemk2

If you could address these issues, that would be great.

Did they fix it so you don't kill the phone battery or do you still need to run the phone the whole time

Let us know how BringGo works on the iPhone 5S. I searched and did not find anything on it.

BringGo works great on my iPhone 5S just like it did on the GS3.
My only gripe is that it has to be hooked up via USB. It wont work only by bluetooth like on a android phone..but I'm okay with that.

Phone has to run the whole time, plugged into the cig adapter. I'm ok with that, as I use Torque app @ the same time. I haven't gotten a response but can add that I ran google maps @ the same time on the phone with BringGo (with the display on mylink), and the traffic notifications can be spot on during 1 segment of driving, then the next non-existant with BringGo. I have had only 1 lock up, which was easy to remedy (restart the phone, fire up BringGo again and it asks if you want to continue to your previous destination). It has only done that one time, vs. all the time with my Galaxy 2s on previous version. The mute button does not work. If I mute the turn by turn voice navigation... it'll pop up again and start talking randomly (with the mute button still showing the red/ across the speaker).

So currently my findings:

1) Real-time traffic/routing is a fantasy (does not work, and yes I paid $60 back in may 2013)

2) The mute button doesn't work, BringGo will talk whenever "she" wants to.

3) The navigation to locations/Google lookup, POI, etc... function as they should.

4) ZOOM to corner, where the map is to zoom up on your upcoming turn doesn't work either. On the previous version I remember it would zoom in the entire map as you made a corner, then zoom back out to a more reasonable 3-D view. You can only get that if you do it manually on my phone/Mylink right now.

No response from the BringGo guys... today again, traffic not working. Showed a notice for 1 item on my route (1)... so I selected it, and it was a notice for "Slow traffic" on a fwy NOT on my route. The fwy I took was bumper to bumper for 9 miles (15 mph or stopped), I selected google maps... showed my route as RED, accident reported 9 miles ahead (reported by WAZE). I made a detour to another fwy to avoid the accident, switched back to BringGo and it wanted to route me back into the lion's den of traffic again. STUPID! Does anyone else have an issue with the traffic?
