If you have a tune what does this mod do for you?

coo , had a coworker help me do it , way easier than I thought . shifts great now . but did anyone else notice a little loss of power or even what feels to me like turbo lag under 3000rpm?

Did the same thing, just added a new hose and plugged off the solenoid.
Now why isn't this a sticky?? This is by far one of the best "free" mods I have ever done to any vehicle. I have been kicking myself for not getting a WRX (couldn't justify the cost since I was going for an economy vehicle versus driving my truck everyday) but now after doing this mod it actually behaves like a turbo should and I am happy with how it performs being stock. Before doing this mod the power would fall off drastically after 4500 RPM in every gear besides 1st. Now it pulls strong all the way up to redline and I find myself not having to use as many gears to accelerate up to 60 MPH, love it! Also noticed that 6th gear pulls better than it did before so I don't have to downshift as much to get up a small incline. The only downside to this mod is it has given me the itch to do more...tune will be next along with exhaust/charge tubes.

Thanks for responding. If the solenoid is turned off in the tune, then nothing. It was not turned off on my Trifecta tune.
Thanks for responding.
And the reason they leave it on is for safety of the motor correct?

Doubt it, it's probably because they don't have access to it with their tuning software (probably lack the proper definitions). Wouldn't make much sense to leave something like that in your tune if you had the capability to remove it.
Actually no, it's a safety mechanism that has 0 reason to be disabled. If for example, you have an overboost condition and the tuner has turned off the solenoid, the solenoid cannot attempt to bleed boost to save your engine.
Should the limits be raised when tuned? Absolutely! Disabled? Wouldnt recommend it.
I've run this mod since about three months after purchase in Dec 2014. I just kicked over 40k and I've been in service like clockwork every 5k miles for service. They've never noticed nor mentioned the mod.Good day all, quick question. Can this mod ruin my cars warranty in any way? I have a 2016 RS and would love the better drive but not at the cost of my warranty

I have actually taken my car for service and engine work three different times in to the dealership. I had to get a valve cover gasket replacement and front seals replacement due to a small oil leak. I have this mod and all three times that I dropped off my car at the dealership, either they didn't see it, witch I doubt, or they saw it and the guys at the dealership didn't even bring it up. The work that was done in my car was done under warranty. If this mod was to affect the warranty, they would have said something. But every dealership may not feel the same way...Good day all, quick question. Can this mod ruin my cars warranty in any way?
