Hmm. Yeah, I think I may skip that package. The sensors on the back bumper don’t look as good to me as the smooth bumper either. I drive 90% highway, but it seems like I may be more irritated by it than anything.

The premier trim comes with the convenience pack. I absolutely want that. I have it on my current LT, and there’s no way I’d skip it.

No offense....but as a biker, not using your indicator to INDICATE YOUR LANE CHANGE is just not acceptable. I have this package, and I don't regret it a bit. Not judging you bruh. ;)

EDIT: I don't want to be that guy to educate others on the rules of the road, but being lazy in following those rules is what kills other drivers. Not signaling because you don't think anyone is around isn't okay man! Again, in no way calling out my bud Smarjason....but be careful guys.

Aye man respect! I was referring to lane changes with nobody around! I take a lot of two lan back roads and i change lanes like every 1/8 mile to dodge giant pot holes lol. Nothing pisses me off more is when people don’t signal before jabbing into my lane haha. I think they intended this feature for drivers that swerve a lot. Or at least to always remind you to use a blinker lol.

The problem we’re running into is that dealers don’t want to work out dealer trades or anything when they’re that far away. I don’t blame them, it just kinda sucks. I’m ok with waiting a month for a 2019 that I order. I’ll get it exactly like I want it by doing things that way.

Cool, I've never ordered a car! Are you able to get at least a decent discount? I wouldn't expect the 20% but maybe $1K off or something? Thanks.

I'm thinking of swapping in for a manual 2019 LS, which will come with the 1.4T...

Typically, just what’s on the lot or within a few miles at another dealer that they can trade with. The dealership is throwing me a bone on this one because I just bought the car from them in March, someone crashed into it already, and they know that I’m very meticulous about my cars. My shop also does some work for their used car lot.

I’ve done business with them for years, so I think this is going to be more of a courtesy. Still, they’re always up front and easy to deal with. I’ve never had an ounce of frustration in dealing with them. That’s why I recommended them to anyone in need of a new Chevy.

My original plan was to order a 19 from the factory, but it was cut short when I found out that Sonic was no more in Canada, but if they lied to me... another story. Really excited to see this even though it came from an unfortunate incident.

The hardest part is having all the parts just sitting here, ready to go, and no car to put them on. My BNR LS7 coils are said to be delivered next week. Plus, I have to start putting my current car back to stock for the trade. It all feels so wrong and mixed up. [emoji23]

I got my car back together today and drove it home. It was sitting while we waited on a tail light and bumper brackets to be delivered. I turned in my ABYSMAL rental car, which is the reason that I’m posting this.

For anyone that doubts the Sonic’s ability to stand up to the competition, I got a Nissan Sentra rental with 3,500 miles on it. Nissan is one of the automakers known pretty well for building good small cars, as I’m sure everyone knows. The Sonic drives better, is quieter on road/wind noise except for my ZZP exhaust, has no rattles at 24,000 miles versus the Sentra’s multiple dash rattles at 3,500 miles, has a much nicer infotainment setup, and is all around a more engaging and fun vehicle to drive. The only thing that the Nissan did as well in was fuel mileage. They tied there.

I know Chevy doesn’t get a lot of credit for the little Sonic, but it really does beat or tie the Nissan in every way I could find. With the 2017+ refresh, GM has a great subcompact in the game. It’s a significant step up in refinement and quality from my 2015 Sonic, and it’s a strong competitor to the big names in this segment.

I had a Toyota Yaris rental while they fixed my bumper.
Worst. Car. Ever.
It wasn't until I got my sonic back that my balls finally started to grow back.

I hated the Yaris more than words can convey.

The Yaris is a horrendous car. I always see the interchangeable LHD and RHD dash and think, wow, this thing was really built on a budget.

It can be easier than I’m making it depending on where you want it in the exhaust. I’m putting it where the cat is located in the ZZP cat back, and I’m going to have to move the cat and resonator back because I want to keep them. You could more easily replace the cat, resonator, or muffler depending on how much you want to bypass. You only need about an 8” section to install it in place of. Make sure you have clearance for the electric motor too. After you figure out where you want it, you only have to run the harness to power and ground, then mount your switch.

I’m only getting the exhaust laid out and put together right now since I’ll be removing it for the new car. I don’t want to run the wiring and mount the switch just to take it back out again.

Projected delivery is 9/16. The manager said that doesn’t always hold true, but the car is built and ready to ship.
