Piece number one for the AWD manual swap attempt has arrived.

Have you looked into a solution to get that ride height down? Doesn’t the Trax drivetrain bump the height up a bit?
This will be awesome.
This is so bad ass. Any Dyno plans in the future?
The ZZP cam comes with a custom degreed cam lock plate that you use with the GM timing tool kit. It flips the stock intake cam over and swaps it to the exhaust. The new cam is an upgraded intake cam.
No you misunderstand.
The lobes themselves are ground opposite each other between the intake and exhaust. You can actually see it in the ZZP pic, and they are not technically interchangeable. The inverse radius of the intake cam, now on the exhaust side is on the wrong side of the lobe.
I don't know what the effect will be. It might be OK, but I would keep a very close eye on it.
I would be more worried about T-case and reardiff gear ratios personally. If you are mildly handy with amig welder and a drill it shouldnt be too hard to fabricate some sort of tank/fuel cell. From what I understand, Sonic coilovers will fit the Trax rear axle and have enough travel to get it back down.
First findings are disheartening on the gas tank. The Trax tank is about 4” lower than the Sonic tank. There’s no way I’m getting that in my car at my ride height. Maybe if I wanted to lift it and do a rally style thing. The only option I know of now is to go with a custom tank. If you wanted to remove the back seat and cut the body out I’m sure you could make it fit better, but that’s not an option for me. A custom tank will be a lot more money and hassle, plus it will reduce my fuel capacity to cut a 4” tall driveshaft notch out of it. I’m going to have to put this project on the shelf for now, but it’s not dead yet. Sorry for the bad news.
