Like the looks, handle, and somewhat speed but that mpg was a bold face lie!! 40mpg downhill in a hurricane is more like it
might help if you didn't have a giant goofy wing tied on to the trunk, a body kit, extra wide 18s and 50lbs of stereo equipment..
Up to 40 mpg my a$$! This should be grounds for a buy BA ck or refund. No where near factory specs. The dealership should atleast offer to reprogram our ecu for better gas mileage. I'm tired of people making excuses for the factories shorts!!!!!!
I have 1625 miles on my car and am at 19.5. Ugh!
Is that with the 1.4 or 1.8?
That really doesn't matter as it's low for either. I have the 1.8 automatic and it should be the least fuel efficient of all Sonic models and I am at 36 MPG average on this tank for combined driving.

Yeah, I don't see how it doesn't matter at all either, I see it as a valid question just for information purposes of knowing more about her vehicle. I haven't heard of a turbo getting lower than mid to high 20's so if it is a turbo or even a 1.8 for that matter, getting under 20 mpg it needs to go in for service.
Well, I'm at 45 for this tank, so it's all relative.

That was exactly my point. It was low for both of them. The 1.8 is rated at 25 MPG city so anything under 20 is really bad. I was just pointing out that under 20 is below rated for both engines.
And I'm still interested in what motor is in the car. Didn't know asking what motor was in the car was that big of a deal to you. Information is just information so I asked.
No, 1.4.

When you asked the question it seemed to imply that maybe that number would make more sense if it was a 1.8 and I don't think it does. I have no issue with anyone asking I just think it's moot as it's obviously a low number for either. I didn't mean to make anyone defensive.
It's not too low for a strictly city aggressively driven 1.8.
