Oh yes. Just the normal CF colour. I think they were referring to the reddish colour on the hood in the installed pic, which would definitely be the fence.

I'm a little late to this thread and have a question about this Sonic. The wheels/tires seem to fill up the front and back of the wheel well arches. Is that just an illusion being created in this pic by the angle of the photograph, or is this car running larger diameter tires to complete the "fill" look with the lowered car?

Other cars I've seen lowered have a smaller gap at the top of the wheel well (obviously), but the front and rear of the arch still have a larger gap.

Well, it appears I was correct in my assessment with only one thing: illusion. Here's a side shot which clearly shows larger gaps in the front and rear of the wheel well arches:

I'm going to have to remember that photo angle when taking pics of my car. The "filled" wheel well look on this car looks pretty aggressive in the initial photo I posted.

It's flat unpainted plastic. I had intended on spraying it with semi gloss before bolting it on, but now I'm glad I didn't. I like how it looks.

Are you using the Seibon CF spoiler or reinstalling the OEM?

OEM. I don't care for how it creates a CF zebra stripe between the white spoiler and the white roof, but I just can't justify the cost of the CF spoiler when it won't be noticeably lighter. I will likely paint the exposed CF on the roof line white.

Fenders are gonna be on the back burner until the need arises to remove the bumper for a project.

Instead of painting the strip white, black out your roof.

I never tinted a window in my life until I moved to El Paso and had a black Corvette with black leather. Best investment in my entire life.

If you ever have a chance to drive a car for a period of time with tinted windows, you might understand why we love it. And as a bonus, it looks cool.

Whenever I get a loaner car when my car is in the shop (old cars, that is), it always feels weird to drive a car without tinted windows. Other fans of tint might understand what I mean.

i don't see you losing but maybe 5 pounds with a carbon fiber trunk on the sedan's. the trunk lid isn't that heavy to start out with. the trunk on the hatch far exceeds the weight of the trunk on the sedan

The hatch is heavier because it includes the glass. If the sedan trunk has more surface area of metal than the hatch, then you will lose 10+ lbs. by swapping for CF. My guess is that both the hatch and sedan have close to the same mass of metal.
If your care to measure and estimate the square inches of area on your trunk, I will do the same on the hatch and we will get a more definitive answer.
