These things are awesome. I decided to throw the mini latches I bought in tonight. Install went easier than I thought. Roughly 45 minutes. I'll get better pics tomorrow in the daylight. I still wish it was also held closer to the wheel well. Might pick up another pair. For anyone with broken tabs or plan on removing the front bumper occasionally, a kit would be great.
QL-25-SB Black Anodized Mini Quik-Latch
I used the lower front body panel screw, Then removed the threaded clip it screwed into
The stud went right through the hole without needing to open it up. Tightened the nuts down with 7/16th wrenches
Located the mounting point by measuring front the front corner near the headlight. Drilled .25" hole to test.
Dry fit and then opened it up to 3/4" with a step drill
Mounted the latch with supplied nut
Click click BOOM!
Hey Beastlick, the website that the link you provided for the QL Bumper Quick Release leads to offers different diameters for the Mini Quik-Latches. What size did you use?

If it's not too late I'm DEFINITELY interested because my bumper is ****ED from towing this thing and other battle damage
This would just give me the excuse to actually fix it because my lord so many friggin CLIPS AND SCREWS!

Adding Quick Release Buttons to your front bumper.
Okay, I went out and did the same thing that Beastlick did and added the bumper quick release latches. If anybody wants to also give this a go, here's how I installed mine.
Now I will say this, I will only recommend that you do this on your own if you're mechanically inclined. The modification is not hard at all but if you make one small mistake, you might have to end up replacing your entire bumper so proceed with caution.
What I did first, before beginning the process of installation, was to study the way that Beastlick installed his. Here's the link to his set up...

I will do the best I can to complement what Beastlick already posted a few months ago. I will also say this, when I first installed my latches, I did not take enough pictures so what I did here was to go back and remove my bumper all over again so that I could take a few pictures for this write up.
Okay, once you have ordered and received your latches, what you want to do is to remove the front bumper. If you have fog lights, don't forget to unplug them before you pull the bumper away.
Once you have done that, go ahead and replace the bolts that are located right below the plastic brackets with the quick release latches.
Now you're going to take your measurements so that you can drill the holes in your bumper.
Using a square ruler, measure the distance from the corner of the wheel well on your fender to the latch and then measure down towards the latch.
I found this measurement to be 8" 3/4 from the corner of the wheel well to the spot above the latch and then 2" down to the latch but don't take my word for it, please double check for your self.
Now for the next step you're going to need a marker, a small drill bit to drill a pilot hole, and a step drill bit.
You are now going to make your marks on your bumper. Using the same square ruler, measure from the corner of your bumper towards the front and then measure down to make your mark.
Once you have made your marks on both sides, double check and triple check your measurements before you drill.
After you have confirmed that the marks are accurate, go ahead and drill your pilot holes.
Then using your step drill bit, drill the main holes for the latches.
Once you have done that, go ahead and install the latches. Before you replace your bumper, loosen the latch bolts so that you can adjust them with the bumper back on. Install your bumper.
Once you have installed your bumper, make sure that the latches hooked on to the bolts. For the next step you're going to have to remove the plastic covers that are inside the wheel wells so that you can adjust and tighten the latches from the inside.
Once you have adjusted the latches, plug your fog lights back in, put the plastic covers inside the wheel wells back on and installed all your screws and bolts back on.
Enjoy your new quick release buttons.

The hole looks quite large and requires that large black retainer/push thing.
Is the hole so large so it accommodates the push retainer?
Or is the large hole needed so the bumper can be lined up easier..one needs some loose tolerance?
It looks good... great instructions.. 3/4 inch hole..at that point one is totally committed to finishing.

No. The two button latches keep the seam between the bumper and fender tight. It's cheaper to install these latches instead of having to replace your bumper if you have broken tabs. Also, if you plan on removing your bumper for whatever reason, most likely the tabs will break anyway. But to answer your questions, I'm still using the rest of the bolts and clips that the bumper requires.

I'm personally tempted to think of adding a few to the front bumper core and maybe making it fully quick detach
Or just using zip ties and a couple quick detach like racing teams do
