The only thing i dont like about the Hatch is the rear end. I feel they forgot to finish it or it was a late Friday Drawing and they decided, Eh, looks good enough. Lets go Home... and that was that. Im not saying it needs alot, But if they would have just added a few more inches to the rear peice after the rear wheels it wouldnt have turned out looking so halfa$$ed. Everyone has their opinions. this is just mine. If that rear hatch would have been built with just a few more inches of space say 4-5 then i might have considered the hatch when i bought a Sonic. I just didnt like how there is almost nothing behind the rear wheels. But thats just me. Plus im more of a Sedan person anyways. every likes different things.

Mine is in the low to mid 30's as well. The Sonic doesn't see much highway time. I just suck up the loss in mileage and take the Sierra on long trips, cruise control and much more comforatable.....
