I think driving for mileage on a car that gets 32 mpg when driving normal, 29 when beating on it and 35+ (depending on Jedi skills and mods) is not worth it for me, especially since I drive normal, get 31-32 with 100% city. I shift at 2,000 to 2,500 (maybe 3,000) all the time, I also get bored driving like a blue hair. My truck gets 14.5-16.0 depending on the direction of the wind driving the exact same.

I did, but as long as I can meet the mileage on my Sportster + some out of a car I'm good. Anything below 28 (about half my trucks mileage which is a beast and more fun to drive straight line wise!!!) starts to make me question my decision.
But, back to Karen's build!

It always works this way for me.
Start out looking at mileage numbers, then eventually wft over to the fun side. HumVee > FunVee.
Last time started out with a 40mpg on a drz400sm, ended up with a oversized flat slide carb, a full titanium pipe, yada and 25 mpg.

I can't lie, my CBR got low 30's high 20's but it was all my fault (capable of high 30's and mid 40's). I loved the way it sounded down a gear or two. Plus! You didn't have to down shift as far to get out of the way of the cage rolling into your lane.... I still wear a full helmet and at least armored mesh and leather. I know Pecker is probalbly rolling over in his garage at that....
But yes, the Sporty is the bench mark for HD!

I'm sure it did $ub$onic. I'm sure if I didn't ride in mostly city (35-55) and hold low gears the whole time and actually lived out of town and got up to 75 mph in 6th for more a short stretch of highway my RR would have gotten way better mileage. But much like my Sonic, truck and any other car I have owned it doesn't drive much more than 15-20 miles in traffic to get to and from anywhere I want to go... I'm also more than sure that my leaned out Sportster will push 40 to 50 in 5th a highway run as well.....

Yes, only about 17 miles to work but I have nothing but soccer moms, stop lights and school buses slowing me down on the way to work. I'm more than pleased with all my vehicles mileage in the conditions I drive in. Much more impressed with the Sonic though.

Lol I feel your pain. I pull out of my allotment and all I see are old older and people way too old to be driving. There's ton of street lights and I hate when semis drive down 18, it should be illegal lol. They slow down the traffic too much its horrible.

I'm trying to order springs tonight. I remember seeing a really cool picture on here....it was of two sonics one with lowering springs and one without. I think it was a his and her sonic? Anyway I would love to see that thread again so maybe I can order the same springs. Any help would be great
