this is my first "little motor" car, the AC on is noticeable to power if you happen to get to low in a gear. mpg takes a hit in the city from it, so i'd imagine if your running the defroster in the northern states its similar deal.
Nah, there is no noticeable difference between AC on and off. Trust. It may be an incremental increase.. like a fraction of a MPG, but that is something your driving habits will never allow you to notice because it is such a small comparison.
I just broke 15,000 miles on my Cruze, fuel mileage still increasing. I can now hold 38 MPG on the DIC @ 70 mph Cruise control. The number jumps to 45 MPG at 55 mph. These numbers are up about 5 MPG since I got the car and its only rated 36 MPG on highway. This break in thing is no joke.
