Glad to see the car is back on the road.
I personally don't mind the stock transmission. I'd send the stock one you have (now that it's known it wasn't broken) to a reputable performance transmission shop and have it improved to handle the new power output.
A place like this http://www.libertysgears.com/ they're local to me and do great work. I'm sure there's a place similar somewhere remotely near your location.
Anyway, good luck and I look forward to more 1/4 mile time slips!

I thought about it man, with how often I make trips home cuz flying is way more expensive and to be hoenst, I like road trips, but I could use an extra gear, even the 1.8s with the 6 speed auto do better than me, I usually go 70-78 crusie on the way hgome, I pull 31-3600 rpms, now if I could get it down to like say well anything under 3 would be great
I would probbally have to down shift for some hills n **** but whatever.. is there a 6 speed u recommend? I haven't been paying much attention to the trans codes like I think mine is a f17, whats the factory 6 speed in the 1.4s ratio compare? would it bolt right up? I can get one for proably 600?

The M32 6-spd WILL bolt right up to the 1.8.
The question is wether the axles are the same length and same spline pattern. And if the the other two mounting points are the same.
I don't see why they would be different. Also I'd say the MZ0 would be the best option because it was geared for the n/a 1.8. The MZ4 has taller gearing and may appear sluggish without the boost.

Also I am guessing that the ECM in the car is calculating what gear you are in based on engine RPM and speed. Since you have changed your gear ratio's in the transmission, it no longer thinks that you ever get into 6th gear, hence the shift light coming on, even in 6th gear, FYI.

If its in the ECM, maybe it can be turned off by Vince at Trifecta. If its in the BCM I may have to spend 30 minutes explaining to a Chevy dealer how a Chevey works and have them flash the BCM to turn it off.
True story. I had to explain to them how to load the RS steering program. They were like: I don't think that's possible...... Then called me back an hour later and were all like: yeah, we can do it. LMAO
