Ewwww that camber went full retard. Lol
Can someone explain the point of excessive camber? To me it's like wearing cutoff jean shorts inside out, ugly and impractical.
I was just reading your explanation of this cause I had knew nothing about it. Are the benefits of negative camber just so you can lower a car and still have the wheel fit in the area its meant too?

Negative camber in general improve handling, as the car rolls it will roll onto a wider section of the tire. Too little and you roll onto the outside of tire, too much and you never use all of the tire. How much you need depends on you car and your particular suspension setup. You can tell if you have too little or too much by checking tire temps on the inside, middle, and outside immediately after getting off track. Ideally you want the temps to be the same across the tire.
You can use it to fit your wheels if you have the wrong size wheels/tires and too much drop. If you do this though, or your just a lazy civic owner, you will have very uneven accelerated tire wear.
Can someone explain the point of putting an aftermarket exhaust or body kits on a car? That makes it less practical when you're near police stations or large dips.
To each their own...
First paragraph was very insightful, and educating. The second was very opinionated. I won't say my camber is in the realm of ridiculous, but I did adjust it more motivated by looks than performance. Not everyone here is out to autocross.
Staring with an Economy class car platform, it's entirely up to the owner to pursue appearance, track performance, audio builds and so on.
I agree with your performance related statement. But then the rest was just more kindling to continue more arguing.
You can take that part to another thread next time.
I didn't mean to offend or entice arguing.
To get that look, you need wheels and tires that are too big and wide, and too much drop. It might be the look you are going for and you might do it intentional but its still true. It is a popular look now days.
Super easy install. You'll need shorter hinge bolts. And some of the holes have to be enlarged. Like the holes for the washer sprayers, and the hood insulation clips.
But it's like a 20 minute install.
